Trojan Jiu Jitsu Academy

My 6 year old has been going to Trojan for a few months and It's been awesome for his confidence and he loves going to the classes. I have also been doing adult classes and it's been a great way to improve fitness and learn some new skills. Good atmosphere and a good group of people.

Trojan is like a family you can join by subscription from the first time you walk in. Everyone can trust each other, we all learn from each other and everyone who comes to classes gets to know each other so well that our closest friends are people we’ve bonded with at the gym, regardless of our skill levels. No matter how strong or fit or coordinated you are, we all support each other. The coaches are incredibly dedicated to the community we are all part of, day or night and no one is left behind; younger, older, weaker, stronger, males, females. Training itself is heaps of fun and empowering too, you’d not even realise you’re doing so much cardio.

My kids started training at Trojan Academy 8 years ago, and now my whole family trains there. The coaches are all very knowledgeable and friendly, everyone is accepting of new members of any skill level, and the health benefits I've seen for myself are amazing. There is even a free trial if you're not sure whether you want to commit or not! Give it go!

Have trained here for little under a year. Have loved the place ever since starting. The people are lovely. I've learnt so much from Derek he's always happy to help out.

Awesome gym - I train weekly with my wife and two kids. Positive atmosphere mixed with solid coaches that really know their stuff. We’ve learnt so much in under 6 months of training - goes to show quality team that run the place. My teenage kids are so engaged they are talking about competing in the future. Place is also very female friendly, my wife and daughter are at home in this gym - Excellent gym culture

I've been training BJJ for 5 years, and recently moved to Tasmania. Before making the move, I researched every BJJ school in and around Hobart online to decide where I wanted to train. Trojan was the obvious choice for me and my 7 year old son.

Now that we're here it's even better than I thought it'd be. The instruction is top quality (and I've trained all over the world), everyone is super friendly and welcoming, and the classes are a lot of fun.

The facilities are also excellent, and everything is run professionally.

Amazing place, I have trained here for eight years now and I love the people there. Everyone is so supportive in everything you do and are trying to achieve.
