The Beach House

First meal in Hobart. Very impressed. Ordered the lamb shoulder, flat bread, seafood chowder and chicken parmi. All were phenomenal! We don't normally like chicken breast, but it was succulent! This place should be rated higher! For dessert we had sticky date pudding and Eton Mess, both were top notch. Loved the warm pudding and the vanilla flavored cream.

Nice place with good seating indoors and outdoors with a great view of the bay. Cozy interior. Entrées were a bit pricey for not much food but still good. Pork Belly Tacos were awesome but only came with 2. Was a decent menu

The SEAFOOD PASTA was just wow, slightly overpriced but worth it. My colleagues enjoyed their food too. Great venue to dine in with the beach view. Will definitely come back.

Wow. Wow, what a spectacular place to dine. Place was packed, which I always see as a great sign. The pork belly salad is, quite easily, the best salad I have ever eaten. Calamari was soft and fresh. Coffee was on point. The Beach House has become my new favourite place to eat. 10 thousand stars!!

Great location to stop for a bite to eat.Service is friendly and efficient,food is tasty and reasonably priced.

Dropped in today for a quick lunch, first visit to The Beach House on a quick visit from Adelaide. I had the Lamb Shank and my partner the Seafood Chowder. Both were excellent. Service very good, and it was lovely sitting in the sun looking out to the river. Recommended.

We went as a large group to celebrate a birthday, and it was a brilliant experience. The food was absolutely outstanding, I had the sticky date pudding for dessert and it was the best sticky date pudding I've had. I highly recommend coming here.

I seriesly couldn't recommend this place enough!!
We arrived at 7.30,were served a beautiful espresso Martini, ate our main meals, 2nd drink and offered the desert menu within an hour of arrival!
We ordered the beef cheek (AMAZING!!)& Scotch fillet steak (cooked perfectly) and seriously the best meals we've had since in Tassie!
The wait staff were so lovely, attentive & professional.

Fantastic service. We turned up without a reservation on our way back from Bruny Island. Erin went out of her way to fit us in as the restaurant was fully booked downstairs with a function upstairs. Food was impeccable with big servings. Highly recommend.

Had our work dinner there last night. The food was amazing. Dylan and David were very accommodating to our needs and Bec our bar lady was fantastic. Highly recommend for your next function.

Absolutely brilliant food, fabulous service and customer care beyond expectation. Nearly all menu items are GF and there is a vegan menu as well.
We're fortunate to have locals living nearby so we can enjoy The Beachhouse on our next visit from NSW. A must-go place to eat and relax.

This is a five star beach front food establishment. 4 of us shared plates here on a Sunday afternoon. Crab pate, cajan chicken salad, pumpkin salad, zucchini fritter,arachi balls, mozzarella bread+bubbles, honestly the best food outside Hobart is served here.

Crayfish pate and gnocci with a beautiful tassie pinot noir. Absolutely stunning. Service was impeccable and meals came out quickly. We couldn't fault any aspect of our dining experience. 100%

We had the best brunch here today. Friendly staff and great service. They take pride in what they do here. You won't be disappointed 😊

We keep returning, this time tried the Beef Cheeks. Yummo.

Gorgeous venue, friendly staff and excellent food. Highly recommend for dinner. Location was perfect to watch a rain roll in over the water. They cater really well for gluten free and understand coeliac cross contamination.

Went with a large group so very glad we were seated upstairs away from main dining area (for the sake of other diners!) Very friendly and helpful staff. Large group serving is always difficult but meals were brought out by table. Excellent presentation and taste. The sausages were slightly overdone (see photo) but otherwise meals on everyone's plate looked amazing. Definitely recommendable.

The only thing I cld fault,wld be their oysters are not Bruny Island,(the best)and abit dear considering they don't have a vinegarette or similar dressing.just lemon.but everything else absolutely 5 star.

Went there in our last nignt in Tasmania. Best Braised Lamb Shrank i ever had!

A 5 star dining experience. The food is delicious, and the service is quality too. The prices aren't the cheapest, but it's not so expensive that I'd call the prices "upmarket" - an ideal place for a date night. We've been twice and will definitely go again.

Their menu also seems to change from time to time (seasonal?) so it's worth trying back regularly if you like different, new flavours.
