Wild Crust Bakery

Well guys! I can't tell you how delightful this bread is! It TASTES like bread, not the artificial garbage found in supermarkets. You HAVE to try it..truly a gastronomic feat! It maintains its taste, and is wonderful for toast later in the week, when it is a little drier..but I still chomp tomatoes with oil and vinegar on it for lunch..not wasting one crumb! In fact, it is perfect when a little drier for soaking up salad oils at the bottom of the dish..yum! Apparently, the best cafes and restaurants in Melbourne serve it (no wonder!!) but here in the country, we miss out unfortunately.
I had a nonna (Italian) in Griffith who made her own bread in the communal oven with other nonnas on baking day. and this is just as good.
Sadly, except for IGA in Kinglake (as I was passing thru and bought it,) I haven't seen it anywhere else ..I live in Bendigo.. so I asked Lyn, the owner, if she could send some to me. Still working out logistics, but she is very accommodating and great with customer service. I don't mind paying extra for getting my bread home delivered.. i have wasted too much money throwing out 'plastic bread' and imitation 'good' breads... All disappointing and decidedly NOT real bread, in my opinion. This is definitely worth the money, time and wait. Great job, Wild Crust Bakery! Love your crust!
