We had a wonderful 3 days at Derwent Bridge Chalets - really surprised in a good way as we expected caravan park style so has but it was very lovely and most comfortable- the spa after a long hike with the salts was so thoughtful. The bed was luxurious - king size many warm blankets excellent quality the pillows were large and soft - we really liked our time at the Derwent Bridge Chalets very close proximity to Lake St Clair National Park

Absolutely loved staying here. The best place we stayed while in Tassie. It was so clean, so homely, all the little things that contributed to a beautiful stay. Good quality furnishings, lovely assortment of tea's. You can see the place is well cared for. It really felt just so homely. The best part- the silence and the darkness when it came time to go to sleep in a cumfy bed. For sure we will be back.

I have to thank Louise for the great stay we had. Louise was very accomodating letting us change our dates and come a day early, we were lucky the chalet was available.

The chalet was so well appointed and it had everything we needed, nothing was missing in the kitchen, comfortable bed, 3 seater, 2 seater lounges and plenty of reading material to read while it was pouring with rain and a few games. Full internal laundry. Chalet was spotless.

Great location to The Wall and Lake St Clair. Our room would’ve fitted a family comfortably.

I found Louise an absolutely delightful lady and very friendly.

Louise was extremely helpful and kind.
We called and asked if we could arrive a day earlier and she kindly accommodated us, no problem at all.
Olympus Chalet was large, full kitchen and laundry. Loungeroom had 3 comfortable lounges, magazines and good TV reception. Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable.
Whole Chalet was immaculate.

My sister and I stayed in the lovely Nive chalet and could not have been happier. Very clean, and comfortable. The lady who greeted me at reception was welcoming, helpful and friendly. I can only imagine the negative comments posted by other guests is a result of their own bad planning and lack of research. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Great location being 5 minutes away from Lake St Clair Visitor Centre. Our room has everything we need to make our meals. Clean and tidy. Parking available directly outside our room.

Don’t know what everyone is on about, but we found Louise polite and helpful. Check in was super efficient and no-nonsense. The cabins are very clean and tidy; beds are comfy; kitchen has enough good quality equipment to prepare any gourmet meal; the fire place also gave it a cozy feel. The free wifi is poor, but we had our own mobile coverage so didn’t really bother us. The Hungry Wombat next door makes good coffee. Lake St Clair has lots of great walks too.

Louise also kindly offered to post some jackets we stupidly forgot in the closet. All in all a very pleasant stay.

We had the Rufus Chalet which was very spacious but very cosy at the same time.
The bed and pillows were comfortable.
The bathroom was clean and modern.
They have selfserved laundry facility on side.
The lady at the reception was friendly and informative.
Will I recommend this place? Yes.

What a great place to stay! Booking online very easy as too with check in once we got here. Easy secure parking right outside our accommodation. The rooms are very functional and well thought out, lots of little things that make your stay that much nicer, such as hooks to hang your jackets in your room, torch and fire extinguishers in case of emergency. You hope you never need them but glad that they are there. Great system for a continental breakfast, there a very few options for meals in Derwent Bridge area! My wife and I stayed here, the room itself was very clean and tidy, immaculate actually. Great water pressure, lots of hot water and a great shower head, this last part my sound silly, but to have to nice long hot shower with a decent shower head just makes your stay! Having heating lamps in the bathroom was also a very nice touch on a chilly night! We found the bed comfortable and pillows very satisfactory. Plenty of heating in the room! When I first walked in I thought the floor was a vinyl and it would be cold to walk on, actually it is a soft furry vinyl that is nice under foot, again nice on the chilly night! Kitchen has a microwave, small cook top, kettle and the like. All the things you need for very basic cooking. Locally there is a pub, that does take away alcohol and also meals at night. There is also a café, but is shuts at 5pm sharp. We really enjoyed our stay here and would come back again. Oh, almost forgot, love how these units are all separated from each other…no hearing your neighbor snoring!

We had a wonderful stay at Derwent Bridge Chalets. We were lucky enough to visit during the coldest November day in 70 years and arrived to find the fire lit and the cabin cosy and warm. Set in a lovely busy setting, and well appointed.

Friendly reception upon check-in which included plenty of information on nearby bush walking options and local attractions. Our room was exceptionally clean and had also been heated for our arrival, which was very welcome given the chilly weather.
