Loved our stay here. Plenty of free camping but fantastic venue to support local business. The owners and staff were all very friendly with a great vibe in the dinning, bar area. The Srilankin Curry was the best. 👏

This is a great pub.
Sure it is the only one for miles and miles but it is great none the less.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff and the best Sri Lankan curry this side of Colombo. The roti bread is next level.
Have a beer and a curry. You won't regret it.

Fantastic genuine Sri Lankan lunch ( lots of other standard fare available, but this was worth the stop for sure!!) Gluten free options and kids’ menu available as well.

Lovely old pub and friendly attentive service. Pool tables and big fireplace gave the kids something to do.

Stopped over for lunch on the drive from Strahan.
Food was really good. Our youngest declared it was the best burger he had ever eaten (Although it was his first with-the-works burger)

We stopped at the Derwent Bridge hotel for lunch and a beer. It’s truly in the wilderness which is great and the lunch was great. We had a Sri Lankan curry 8/10. It’s lovely sitting inside the big wooden hotel looking out at the tree ferns.

We stayed in motorhome in car park it was free but it is asked if you could buy a meal or drink at hotel when in there meals are great and drinks too
staff behind the bar are legends
It's beautiful inside with nice fire places all wooden inside with pool table
Five minute drive to the wall which is also a must see if you like art work or 30 minute walk
Also over road is more public toilets and bins and dump point for motor homes also charging station for electrical cars

Stayed across the road so popped in for a drink and meal. All was very tasty but they were light on our hot chips.

Food was really nice, you think your paying a bit much for the food until it arrives and you can't finish it as there is so much. Good value.

Loved this spot. Easy rest point on the way to Cradle Mountain. Food was great. Very limited beers on tap was the only downside.

Absolutely beautiful garden and great service. I can’t speak for rooms, but the Sri Lankan curry is delicious.

Came here for dinner and was pleasantly surprised! Started off with a bang with a great garlic bread cooked perfectly. Then, for mains, we had the chicken parmigiana and roast beef, both knock-out meals.
Yes, the price is slightly higher than what you'd pay in the cities, but it is definitely worth it!
It's a shame they didn't have any lamb. Otherwise, I would have ordered the lamb curry.

Had a meal after a long drive in the Motorhome on the Lyell Highway. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Meals were excellent and the venue is very unique, like a medieval feasting hall with a huge open fire. Highly recommended.

Great meals and service. The publicans are awesome. You can park up your fully self contained caravan in the carpark overnight. Highly recommend this establishment

Stopped for a break and lunch midway on the drive from Hobart to Strahan. The decor and warmth was extraordinary and excellent. The staff were friendly. I only had the steak sandwich and it was average quality but with a generous serving of chips and fireside table I was happy I stopped there.

We stayed one night in Derwent Bridge and went to the Derwent Bridge Hotel for dinner.
We were very impressed when we walked in, what a beautiful hotel, with a huge fireplace with fire burning (it was a cold evening), and so much character.
Wow, our meals were awesome, the crispy pork belly was the best I've had in a long time, so tender and juicy and the crackling, omg.
My sister had the vegetable curry, which was also very delicious and served with rice and roti bread.
The staff were friendly and very efficient.
I highly recommend you stop in for a meal, or even just a drink at this lovely hotel.

Had one of the best cooked meals in Tassie. Delicious Sri Lankan curry and crusty salmon cooked rare, so moist and flavoursome, as were the vegetables. Reasonable priced meal in informal setting. Unusual dining area with high beamed wooden rafters and ceiling and an enormous log fire . Close to Lake St Clair. Well done chef Trevine and bar staff.

The staff were super friendly and very attentive and polite. Food was amazing! Room and facilities while dated (In the best kind of way in my opinion, stuck in a time warp but oh so nostalgic) were adequate and in line with the charge. Definitely worth the stay while in the area! One of the best lodge style pubs I've ever had a cold beer in!
