We experienced the 'Omakase dining' for a special occasion, and it was truly a culinary journey! The authenticity and modern fusion of flavors, coupled with the cozy ambiance, made every visit delightful. A must-try for anyone craving delicious Japanese cuisine!

Is one of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve eaten at. So much so, we eat there regularly! Hibiki, the head chef, is creative and uses the highest quality ingredients in everything he serves up. Love love love!

Best Japanese restaurant on the Gold Coast.
The $85 tasting menu was extremely good value.
Amazing quality sushi and sashimi.
Homely, down to earth, family-run vibe. Loved sitting at the bar watching the chef who is clearly top of his game.
I say this with high standards as I’ve been to some amazing Japanese restaurants in my time… most are far more expensive than here with much lower quality food.
I also always love a good asahi!

The salmon tartare with crackling fish skin was very unique - I have never seen fish skin used as the chip/crackle component before but it went so well together. The sashimi was probably among the best I have had on the Coast. All so fresh and with selections I have not tried before. The blue fin tuna was particularly special, so fresh and with a flavour I have not tasted in any other tuna before. The yuzu wasabi was also something I had never tried in any japanese restaurant before and is now my favourite to pair with white sashimi as it has a marvellous spicy peppery kick to it - so addictive! The karaage chicken was just the right balance between crisp and soft with plenty of juice locked inside. Also ordered fish of the day which on the night was a Mangrove Jack from Tweed heads, I believe it was - cooked in smoky flavoured teriyaki, it tasted excellent. Then finished off with a nice beef yakisoba.

Great service by all staff as well as having the pleasure of chatting to the owner Hibiki as he served us at the omakase seating area throughout our stay (chairs are very classy and comfy by the way). He is a genius and a master at his craft and you can tell by the way the food is presented and high quality and taste.

Semi high-end, humble sized izakaya in a low-lit romantic atmosphere with some of the best Japanese food and great service. This is definitely my new favourite go-to japanese restaurant on the Gold Coast.

Friend’s birthday celebration and it’s the first time we went and we all loved this nice little Japanese restaurant. We’re welcome by the friendly staffs and seated in a table of 4 near the entrance. There’s not many variety in the menu but we could still find the food that we liked. We ordered fried cutterfish in ponzu, ponzu chicken wings, sashimi selection and panko avocado prawn sushi roll. There’re salmon, kingfish and tuna in the sashimi selection, all fresh and delicious. The ponzu chicken wings were also very tender and juicy. We liked the special sushi rice of the panko avocado prawn rolls too. And the fried cutterfish was just spot on, very yummy! All the food were tasty and we enjoyed our dinner. Fair price, good food and friendly service. It’s definitely a little gem in the Gold Coast, must try!

Do yourself a favour and try this place!
If you're looking for authentic, fresh, modern and inventive japanese food, this is the only place I would recommend on the entire Gold Coast. I have been to all of the top Japanese restaurants on the Gold Coast, but the food here is unsurpassed. Hibiki and his staff are friendly and warm. You can watch your food being freshly prepared.
I can't say enough about this place. If I could eat here everyday. I would.
I hope this place stays open for the rest of my life on earth.

Alway a perfect night. We always go with the omakase, and have never had anything but perfect dishes chosen for us! Our favourite place to celebrate any occasion or any excuse. Far and away the best Japanese we’ve had in Australia!

Hidden Gem! Incredible dishes and surprisingly good wine menu. Cannot recommend this place enough, could not go wrong with any of the fish dishes and couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw a Chablis on the wine list. Will definitely be back! Plenty for Gluten Free diners.

Authentic Japanese hot pot.
Soooo delicious- we had the sashimi, and the chilli miso hot pot with wagyu beef and pork belly. Can’t fault anything. Delicious start to finish. My favourite Japanese restaurant.

Foods amazing especially the aburi Ocean trout nigiri. Their sashimi and nigiri is what you would go for.

We celebrated a 'double birthday' and the lovely staff went above and beyond to prepare a wonderful Birthday Cake after our magical dinner. It was our friends' first visit and they really appreciated this little gem, 'nestling in an unassuming little shopping centre'!

One of the best upscale Japanese restaurants on the Gold Coast. Clever and delicious twist on Japanese food, fresh sushi, tasty yakisoba, Suntory on draft and house sake. Will be a favourite — highly recommended!

I’ve been here several times before and it’s always amazing, and after being to Japan recently, I appreciate its authenticity, its quintessential offering is second to none. Absolute gem.

The food was absolutely incredible, the best Japanese I have had on the Gold Coast. Sashimi was beautifully fresh, and the agedashi tofu was so flavourful. Karaage chicken and beef tataki were equally delicious. Drinks were good and reasonably priced, and the service was great. We were sat outside so missed out a little on the atmosphere but it looked good indoors. Will definitely come back here again!

The meal started in a great way with the spicy edamame and just better with each dish. The smoked salmon was delicious and the sashimi was so fresh, the knife skills were definitely on show. Overall, a hidden gem and one I definitely recommend.

Amazing food and experience. I went with my partner and we had probably the best experience we ever had in a restaurant. The staff was lovely.
