Hotel Palisade

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel in Sydney, and it was an unforgettable experience. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the spectacular view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, which provided a stunning backdrop to my visit.

A special mention must go to the exceptional team, especially Natalie, who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. Their dedication and commitment to providing outstanding service truly exceeded all expectations. From personalized recommendations to attentive assistance, Natalie and her team made me feel incredibly welcome and well-cared for throughout my stay.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sydney. With its breathtaking views, delightful decor, and outstanding service, it offers an experience that is both memorable and exceptional.

It’s a review to the pub on the ground floor. I’ve been traveling in Australia for one month and had fish and chips four times during this time. Fish and chips here, especially the fish is definitely a winner! Such a delicate perfectly cooked fish, not to mention a tartar sauce. Chips were tasty, but could have been crispier. The portion is huge! Beer selection was good and the service relaxed and lovely. Great place to check out with lovely views in all directions when walking there.

In a great location with many photographic vantage points depending on your room. We enjoyed the Surgeon White room, which has all the requirements for one's needs with a well stocked mini-bar and private balcony.

The young staff are helpful, friendly, and professional in all respects.
The cocktail rooftop lounge at Henry Deane's offers you a unique surprise with its design in the evening, surpassing all my expectations.

While your 'below the belt' cocktail was luscious, I and M.J. thought the smooth criminal was a little underwhelming.

We stayed here over the weekend for a gig. Room was incredible, history was in their leather bound book, very cool to read. A very comfortable room, and the bed was fantastic, so comfortable. Although it was small it was perfect for us, also the mini bar was 5 star. Would definitely stay there again.

Amazing location & view in a beautiful historic building with walking distance to great bars and restaurants not to mention the in house Henry Dean rooftop cocktail bar. It has become a new favourite place to stay in Sydney.

The view is amazing and a nice spot for a drink and light snacks. There are 2 different venues one on the ground floor and one on the upper levels, so they serve food independently and you cannot take food from the other leaves.

Food is divine. Hot English Fish and Chips with the best tartare sauce. I am fussy on food freshness and temp 10/10
Steak cooked to perfection, service with many welcome back smiles. Staff are 10/10 too. Feels like home without the grumpy relatives. I already feel like a local.
The staff will guide you on the menu …trust me ! 10/10 . Views from every window.
They are fabulous with kids too.

Decided on the Palisade for a special occasion about a year ago and it was excellent. We booked the Push and Linnean rooms for a Saturday evening and everyone had such a great experience. Great food, bevs, people, service and spectacular venue.

Really funky rooms, unfortunately no built in air con. The portable air con unit had a bucket next to it that we had to empty, so if we were out all day, it overflowed. However, that's the only downfall. Would definitely stay again

The rooftop bar was such a hidden gem! Studding views of Harbour Bridge and the city. The staff were lovely and accomodating. Cocktails were delicious!

Amazing view, perfect spot up on the 5th floor (would recommend making a booking), delicious cocktails.

Love this hotel, we stayed in the William Bennet room, it was spacious enough for two, with a balcony and great view of the Bridge.
Very walkable, near a beautiful park and about a 10 minute walk to The Rocks and Quay.
We had housekeeping every day, even on the days, the hotel was “closed” bar and roof top restaurant. ( Monday)
Food was great and the roof top restaurant had great views and very good, bar food.
Great customer service.
We were concerned that we would be arriving later, after the bar closed, where you checked in, and received detailed information on how to enter the hotel.
Definitely stay here, again.

Went for drinks in late afternoon on birthday weekend and start of Vivid Sydney.

Want to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Hotel Palisade you have made our 4 day stay in Sydney great.
The hotel is so close to the rock markets, Darling harbour & Circular Quay.
The rooftop bar is fantastic I had the best French Martini's & the 2 stunning hostesses were so friendly & helpful with directions & events.
The boys in the pub mix a mean vodka & tonic and the food was delicious.
Mini bar is fully stocked & the room was very clean with a comfortable bed.
If u want a modern uncharacteristic hotel, then Hotel Palisade is not for you but if you want a little step back in time with little quirks then do yourself a favour & stay at Hotel Palisade. I highly recommend 👌

Great location. Good food and drinks. World class view. Service still slow. Need more staff.

We tried the Henry Dean Sydney Festival menu and it was all amazing! We will be back soon.

Loved our stay here. The pub food downstairs is fantastic, views of Sydney Harbour up from the cocktail lounge are just stunning! The pub staff are really friendly and helpful and manage the hotel bookings as well. Rooms were comfy and had character. Location to Pier 9 for cafes and wandering and exploring is great! We'll be back with a group of friends to book 4 of the 8 rooms.

We held a function there for our daughter's 21st and it was great! The room, the drinks, the ambience were wonderful. Full marks to Ben and his staff for an evening that was enjoyed by all.

Edit 2023: another visit whilst over from Perth. Again. 10 out of 10.

Came for lunch on a bright and sunny Friday lunchtime. Thankfully we had called ahead and booked as it was very busy. We ate downstairs in the bar area, each having a small beer in an old fashioned beer glass. For food we had the fish and chips, which were a bargain as the Friday special, and the enormous chicken schnitzel. Both were delicious. Even if it meant we had to forgo dinner in the evening.
