Wonderful staff with great stock of food for such a. Small shop covering all different tastes. Good hours and handy location too.

This IGA does food. Let me repeat that - you can order hot burgers, bacon and egg rolls (all day - they do ALL DAY breakfasts), salads, sandwiches and other goodies from this stalwart combined takeaway/grocer of Hickson Road.

Don't let the siren song of Fratelli Fresh or any number of those overpriced wharfside places draw you in - if you're after something quick, cheap, and surprisingly packed with salad and vegies - go to the IGA. Get a hot burger for $8, slathered in mustard, mayo, fresh peppery rocket, beetroot, with a pretty decent pattie. The service is friendly, you pay at the counter, and then you can pick up your food and relax on the pier, knowing you've paid half the price for a sandwich that is just as great as any of those yuppie and tourist traps on the wharf. Rejoice! Bar Cycle isn't the only good place to eat near the STC - you definitely have some options, and by options I mean a bacon and egg roll or a hamburger at the IGA.

They do close their food part fairly early - like at 5pm. I've never tried the coffee there, but there are heaps of great places around in Hickson road that specialise in coffee. Will let you know once I give it a try.

Little bit pricey but what can you expect it's in a great spot! It's like a metro store so they don't have every option but they do a pretty good thing of stocking at least one of all the important things. All the staff are nice and the place is always clean.

Clean, well-organised little supermarket with no-frills products and helpful staff etched into the sandstone cliffs. Slightly pricey, but nothing too overbearing in particular. As you would expect from your regular IGA.
