Great beach to take doggo. Even has its own "dog library" is where you can borrow balls and toys to use on the beach.

Just moved to Greater Hobart and delighted to find a dedicated dog beach! Bags and bins provided and everyone I’ve met so far has been in control of their dogs and it’s been a really good experience. Plenty of parking and you can walk the foreshore with dogs on lead.

Excellent place for dogs! Poo bags are provided and people seem pretty good at cleaning up after their animals. There are brilliant bush tracks off the beach that my doggo simply loves exploring.

First time took our little dog down there, she's never been to the beach and loved it. Highly recommended for sure. They supply everything u need down, from doggies poop bags, bins, water bowl and hose and tap to wash your pooch when they're done.

Great off lead dog beach with bags and bins. Lots of beach and a bit of bush to walk on, sand and surf also. There is a beware snake sign but I've not seen any in the time I've been going. There was 1 echidna on the beach though, once 🤭

Beautiful place to take the dogs for a walk, when there aren't any people who don't expect to see dogs at the dog beach, of all places. Other than the several hiccups surrounding people scared of dogs and even one man who just plain hates them, which made the local paper and everything (all of which should not be placing themselves in an environment where they are literally surrounded by dogs, knowing that is the case, unless for therapy purposes), this is a perfect place for the dogs to let it all out, the kids to go nuts and burn off some energy, and even going for a quick swim. Just try to avoid Brown's river, and please don't eat any fish you catch from the river. The mercury levels found in the fauna from Brown's river are almost always hazardous to human consumption, last I checked. ;)

If you have a dog this is the "go to" beach for you and your pooch. Plenty of parking and a very large area to run and play.
