We had the Margan ultimate wine tour and degustation experience in the Hunter and wow, what a memorable day. Starting from the moment you walked in with introduction to their rose sparkling wine, then walked around the beautifully kept grounds with our informative tour guide tasting the variety of wines on offer from their vineyard and again, wow😋
Extremely palatable, flavoursome and delicious. 😊Seeing where the fresh produce comes from for your plate, and the menu to pick from was plentiful. Every dish was mouthwatering, especially when paired with the Margan Elite wines. 😋
But the best foccacia I have ever tasted with the pillow top super herb crusted layer to bite into and super soft middle was outstanding.
You must never let this experience go without booking it in when your in the Hunter.

Another special lunch on Friday at Margan. Two were celebrating birthdays so had the Margan wine matching which was exceedingly good. The food, as always, was fantastic and imaginative, all the more special being so local. Our waitress, Celine, was exceptional and helped improve our French! It remains our destination for special occasions.

We booked in the “spoil the one you love” package and indeed loved the entire menu and paired wines. We were lucky enough to be shown some of the winery and garden. Highly recommend. Thanks Lisa for taking the time to show us around!

Beautiful venue with delicious food and wine and friendly warm staff. True farm to table approach and lovely to see the gardens growing the produce. Worth a visit.

We have just had an amazing night that was full of phenomenal tastes. The home grown produce that was presented as part of the Farm to Table offering was second to none. The wine was sublime, and Noah was a Gun.. he looked after our special night with care.

Just came back from the Hunter Valley and The Margan Ultimate Experience was the highlight of our trip. Honestly, amazing behind the scene experience in both the foodie and wine side. Wensely was incredible as a guide, so passionate and knowledgable. The whole team at Margan's were fabulous. Our degustation lunch after was also just amazing. Could not fault our experience and would highly recommend Margan's and their unique food and wine experience plus awesome lunch to anyone heading to the hunter!

We were there for a wedding it was very nice sitting outside the view was lovely. The service was great the wine very nice. The beer not to my husband's taste and the food was a bit fancy for our taste as well. But we did have a great time and if we were back in the area would definitely call in again

Such a gorgeous venue and it’s been around since 1996 in Broke NSW, their wines are amazing, and the food is exceptional, all locally grown ingredients. I have eaten here many times in my duties as a wedding photographer and also a Hunter Valley traveller!

Margan is one of my favourite Hunter Valley wedding venues andI have photographed many weddings there. It is located in the beautiful town of Broke. Wedding ceremonies take place in the gardens next to the restaurant and overlook the vineyards and mountain range. The wedding reception takes place in the Barrel room with its exposed brick walls and warm lighting, which create an elegant and intimate atmosphere. And Margan is a working winery so there are plenty of vineyards which makes it perfect for wedding photos. If you have your wedding at Margan you can pretty much guarantee beautiful wedding photos. It is an awesome wedding venue.

We started with the winery & kitchen garden tour of Margan which was informative & fun, lots of try before you buy. We then had a beautiful lunch in the restaurant, food & service were excellent & the wine list was extensive. Thank you for a wonderful experience

Definitely now on our top 5 list of GOAT restaurants. Every dish was met with ‘wow’ and scraped clean. We did the farm and winery tour beforehand so knowing that every dish comes from the surrounding land was just a bonus. The service, atmosphere and glorious surrounds made for a lovely experience.

Beautiful view, and exceptional service - we booked the 5 course lunch and the staff were extremely attentive and polite. You can tell they focus on the details with service here. The food was great and we ordered a few glasses of wine at risk (we hadn't tasted them before) and they were some of the best in the region - we ended up buying some to take home. Meals were really well presented, all served fresh and hot, and the meal delivery was perfectly timed - we didn't feel rushed and it wasn't too slow either. Some of the dishes didn't quite hit the mark for us but there were definitely a few standouts, especially the dessert. Thank you Margan Wines for a great afternoon!

Many years ago I came to Margan for a wine tasting, but I never had the opportunity to dine in their restaurant.

This past weekend we sat down for a relaxed five-course lunch at Margan on the patio with a scenic view of the vines and farm where the food comes directly from.

The food at Margan Restaurant was delicious - with a strong focus on vegetables from the garden. It’s a comfort to know that the artichokes, asparagus and fennel you’re eating was grown only a few steps away.

Service was the standout memory from Margan. We had Brittany look after us during lunch and she was amazing, from designing mandarin-flavoured cocktails to regaling us with stories from the vineyard.

Hospitality is alive and well in the Hunter, and I’m already looking forward to returning to Margan.

Well, buckle up folks because I’ve got a wedding venue that's more gorgeous than Ryan Gosling on a unicorn. Margan Wines is the bee's knees when it comes to stylish yet relaxed weddings for those who love good food, great wine, and friendly service.

Their venue is so perfect it's almost too good to be true. I'm talking sweeping views of vineyards, olive groves, and even the Brokeback Mountain range (yeehaw!). And let's not forget about their award-winning wines.

But here's the real standout for me: they farm sustainably because they care about the planet. Seriously, they grow all their produce in their own garden and orchard, and their kitchen has won a hat from the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide (which is like the Oscars of food, FYI). So if you get a chance to try their catering before booking, prepare to have your taste buds blown away.

After the ceremony, you and your guests can kick back and relax on their lawn or in their charming courtyard, complete with soft lighting, a fountain, and landscaping so lush you'll feel like you're in a freaking fairy tale. Then, you'll head to their barrel room for the reception, which is basically like being inside a wine barrel wonderland full of fairy lights.

Ceremonies at Margan Wines start from 4pm. This is wonderful when it’s hot so you can avoid sweating like a sinner in church. But I’d recommend doing a first-look so you don't waste any precious wedding day time. Trust me, you'll want to soak up every second at this dreamy venue.

Absolutely fabulous! This is the third time we came to Margan's (I like to go a few times before I offer review). The food is great - fresh, seasonal, local - mostly from their garden. The menu is well put together and every dish was interesting, exciting and yummy. Wine is just delicious and well paired. Value is exceptional. The staff are friendly, always available and enrich the whole experience. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed a lovely five course lunch at Margan. We booked our Dining Experience online, experienced friendly service, and exceptional local food and wine. We’d recommend a wander through the kitchen garden and taking your time when exploring Broke and the Hunter Valley.

We throughly enjoyed a garden to fork long lunch 1st Oct. I think our waiters name was Wesley, who was a highlight of our dining experience. Everything, wine, food, atmosphere, service was top notch 5/5. We also walked away with a couple of bottles which matched our experience. Sadly the Mourvèdre was not available for us to take home. Absolutely loved the 5 course degustation with matching wines. The food was fresh and delicious, highlighting what was seasonal.
Our waiter was very attentive, friendly and informative. He was very knowledgeable about all the wines and was able to answer any questions we had. Overall it was a wonderful experience, we felt very pampered and I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys good food and wine.
