St Nicholas of Myra Primary School

What a wonderful school!

We changed schools part way through kindergarten, being fortunate to join the St Nicholas of Myra community. Our thinking was that a smaller school would have a closer community, and would - hopefully - be better.

This school has exceeded all our expectations. My daughter went from being behind the level she should be at for reading, to pulling ahead of standard in the few terms she's been there. She loves her teachers and her friends, she loves learning about religion, and she loves all the family and friends events St Nicholas' puts on throughout the year. She is absolutely blossoming at this school.

The leadership team at the school could not be more wonderful. The principal is kind, thoughtful, and always prepared to help. The office staff are the same. I have not interacted with a single person from the school that hasn't had these qualities - kindness, helpfulness, readiness to provide support.

Moving schools to St Nicholas of Myra was the best decision we could have made. I could not recommend the school highly enough.

I highly, highly reccomend St Nicholas of Myra PS as the best place for your child and family to blossom. My son is growing into a respectful, safe, thoughtful, well-rounded, and community-minded kiddo in the hands of his amazing teachers, the beautiful and thorough admin staff, and of course the incredibly dedicated Principle and Vice Principle, who work tirelessly behind the scenes to give my son (and so many others) the best and most wellrounded education possible, to regularly fund-raise and carry out charitable activities in the community, and to connect with all families.

The joys and benefits of attending a small school are abundant. Every staff member knows my child's name (and all of our family members!). Every staff member demonstrates dedication to his learning and wellbeing above and beyond the call of duty.

My sons passions for reading, sport, and science are nourished and encouraged every day, and his fallbacks are worked on and improved upon as a student-teacher-parent team. As a parent I feel heard, I feel valued, and I feel respected in every interaction that I enjoy with staff and othe,r students. In the very few times that I have had a concerns about my child, I have been welcomed by the staff who have engaged in constructive discussion and realistic and meaningful outcomes. And its not just my child having a positive experience here, every child that I have interacted with is happy, well-mannered, well-spoken, confident and comfortable, and have grown huge hearts for their school, church and our community.

I couldn't be happier with our experience with St Nick's and I look forward to many more years of top notch education as I send my next child to this wonderful institution. It is a pleasure and a blessing to be part of this schools community.

Best school in the world

Great school community with fantastic students and teachers

My experience with this school has been absolutely gut wrenching.

The current principal lacks basic communication skills, mannerisms and compassion towards students and parents.

The abuse of power, belittling and intimidation tactics has created nothing but a toxic environment for everyone involved.

I feel that my child/ren are unsafe in their care.

If you are looking for a school to send your child/ren to keep looking, this is not a school your children will be safe to attend.

It is my opinion that the current hierarchical structure of this school needs to be reevaluated and people in positions of power held to account. The behaviour shown from the members running the show at this school is disgusting and unacceptable. I would not send my children here again, led alone recommend any other member of the community to send their children here.
