Wild Rhino Essendon DFO

We're all quick to complain when something doesn't go right, however we're not so good at complimenting when things go well.

Having never been in this store before (I am not from this part of Melbourne, so don't normally find myself in Essendon). I was pleasantly surprised with the quality, price and service at Wild Rhino. Special mention to Paul who was very knowledgeable and confident in what he was recommending - without being pushy.

Really positive shopping experience. Well done again.

Bought a pair of Wild Rhino Panama shoes about three month ago. A guy called ‘Paul’ was super helpful, attentive and was super informative. I was apprehensive about buying leather shoes as I’d never owned a a good pair of leather boots, unless you count Blundstones. The leather was initially firm and felt a little tight across my foot, and it took a bit to find the right ‘tightness’ with the laces, but after about 2 - 3 weeks the leather softened and relaxed heaps especially across the foot where your foot creases at the toes. Aside from the wear and tear I’ve put the shoes through (I wear almost every day now), the shoes are holding up perfectly, and matched with a pair of thicker winter socks, these shoes are my absolute favorite. Highly recommend!

I had the pleasure today of shopping with two friends of mine, both into fashion and buying shoes of an excellent quality. I cannot express how pleased I was with the service offered by Paul. His courteous demeanour, patience to provide many styles of boots and sandals was outstanding!

They did purchase several pairs of footwear and I, definitely would highly recommend shopping at this store if you are looking for fashionable, good quality footwear and service of the highest order!

Shoes are nice, though they tend to favour those with narrow feet. However the customer service here is non existent; no greeting upon arrival, no assistance with sizing or asked if I needed help. Definitely some discounted shoes to be had here.

Be very careful when buying shoes from here. I purchased two pairs of shoes for my husband. He tried them on that evening and they were too narrow. I went into the store the very next day- they do not have wide shoes so asked for a refund. The gentleman had to make three phone calls and I stood waiting for 20 minutes. Shoes were in the original box, all tags attached, with receipt, unworn- following all guidelines on their posted return policy. He said no return for change of mind but it wasn’t a change of mind- I would’ve been happy with the shoe in a wide size which they didn’t have. They wanted to provide me with a store credit even though there are no shoes for women and the shoes are too narrow for my husband so what good is a credit? I also feel sorry for the employees - they are visibly nervous when calling head office. I think it’s safe to say the company is going under- there’s no reason to be so uptight with a return the VERY NEXT DAY of UNWORN shoes.

The salesperson continently informed about their 'buy 1, get 1 50% off' offer but I was left in the dark about their 'NO REFUNDS' policy. Bought an expensive pair of shoes that ended up being uncomfortably tight with thicker socks. Returned within 3 hours expecting a refund, only to be met with refusal and offered store credit instead. The salesperson conveniently omitted this crucial policy, leaving me trapped with a $250 store credit instead. Disappointed with their lack of transparency and customer care. A regrettable experience ruined by undisclosed policies."

Went to the store and the staff are all at the back room. We went to the front counter and seen the staff having a good laugh and chat. The girl staff did see us at the counter but ignored us and kept having a chat with the other guy staff member. We ended up leaving the store. DO NOT RECOMMEND SHOPPING HERE AT ALL.
