The Waterloo Hotel

A lovely stay at the Waterloo! We were lucky enough to stay in a newly renovated room overlooking the bay and bowls club. Fabulous views! Very comfortable room and had everything we needed. Extremely clean and very quiet even though the hotel was booked out. A great meal downstairs, I recommend booking far in advance to secure a spot. We will be back!

Good, clean accommodation. Everything you could want as well as views to die for.

While the room was a little dated it had everything we needed, some cutlery and crockery (enough for breakfast) and plenty of room.

We stayed 2 nights while we explored the east coast of Tassie.

Great location, the view is fantastic. Facilities are very well maintained and functional. I would come back again. Worth the price.

Great stay here. Lovely rooms with an amazing view - they even gifted us a cheese board to celebrate our anniversary! Make sure to have dinner sorted the whole town is closed by 7:30 haha

We stayed at waterloo 4 nights, we found the waterloo clean , comfortable, well stocked with essential supplys (even an espresso coffee machine in our room). Great location (beach front and in town) and great staff (friendly and hard working). We really enjoyed our stay , thankyou to you all

What’s not to like clean and tidy facilities excellent views. Short walk to shops for essential and nonessentials friendly locals also helpful. The motel has a useful pamphlet with lots of information regarding places to stay accommodation and sights to see.

Yes, it's not a new nor modern hotel, but it's a clean and comfy hotel. We enjoyed our stay. The heater and hot water were working well. The view and sunrise were amazing, as you can see in my pictures. Enjoy guys! 🍻

The Restaurant - WOW WOW WOW….!!!!!!
Super cool retro atmosphere, foodies menu, massive wine list and the most amazing host of all time. Welcomed us and introduced herself as a one women staff and a one man kitchen, then lead us to a comfy Chesterfield to relax and enjoy a drink before heading to the table for dinner. The food was delicious, great variety and something for everyone (6 of us), superhost had led us through the menu with great suggestions and it didn’t disappoint - absolutely sensational, favour bursts and generous servings. This is a MUST if you stay in Swansea.

We stayed at The Waterloo Hotel and the room was large and clean. It's a bit outdated but everything was well maintained. We appreciated the biodegradable coffee pods. The hotel is right on the beach and an easy walk into town.

We also had a great dinner at The Waterloo Hotel - make sure you make a booking. The menu rotates seasonally but has fun ingredients and is amazing. The atmosphere is quirky and fun, service was fantastic. The menu when we were there was very meat forward, there were a few vegetarian options but no vegan options aside from dressed leaves.

The view from the room is very pretty, you can even watch the sunrise from the room. Everything you would need have been provided, it has all the cutlery needed and even has a coffee machine. There is also a laundry machine available although we didn’t get to use it. Reception was also very prompt in replying and very helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here.

A step back in time to a very clean, spacious, comfortable room with amazing views. The service was excellent.

What a diamond find! Do not judge the outside its interior is brilliantly unique, clean, cozy & well Equiped with a beautiful view from the balcony. The staff Charmaine & Naomi were just amazing had the room heated & ready after my last minute booking.
Awesome room reminded me of growing up in the 70/80’s brick wall inside kept the place warm & cool. Coffee/tea, balcony w a sea view of oyster bay in the heart of Swansea..

Had a spectacular meal in the restaurant, fresh and original menu, brilliant service, and a well stocked bar with great Tasmanian options for wine and whiskey. Staff are amazing! Clearly loved by the locals, we were lucky to get a table, so glad we did.

10/10 would stay again ! The place was right on the beach front, clean , quiet and the lovely staff we’re very accomodating on the day.

Beautiful view, amazing food. Definitely worth booking. The staff are so friendly and we had a wonderful date night. Great wine selection. It doesn't look like much when you walk in but the wine, food and staff quickly make you realise what a hidden gem it is.

Wonderful night staying in the Waterloo after coming to Tas for the new Ironman.
The room was clean and had lovely extra touches - great coffee pods, soaps, make up wipes etc. All very considered!
The beds were comfortable and pillows great too. Big win.
Huge spa, great to relax in.
Can’t wait to come back.

We had so much fun at the Waterloo. We stayed in an Executive Spa Suite, overlooking the shoreline and Waterloo Point, it was beautiful. The decor is very fitting and makes for a very authentic experience. The Waterloo restaurant is also fabulous and was right underneath our room.
