I've visited Swansea a couple of times a year for the last couple of years and have enjoyed seeing this place evolve. The owner's vision for the business is evident and on entering the shop today and seeing the whitewashed stone walls and display case of handcrafted pastries, we felt transported to a French village. We enjoyed flathead and chips on the front verandah (the lightest, crispiest batter on the fish and delicious chips). The order arrived quickly and when we asked for two glasses of ice so we could share a ginger beer, it was no trouble - out came two full glasses of ice. The recent opening of the art gallery next door (the owner's young son is the talented artist) is a bonus to enjoy after a meal. We couldn't resist buying some of the handmade pastries and tarts to take with us - they are little artworks in themselves.

Best fish (crumbed flathead) and chips I've had in a while. The small restaurant is clean (obviously recently refurbished) and the young lady serving was friendly and efficient.

BEST seafood restaurant in Tasmania. Great service from staff & Mr & Mrs owner boss, hospitable to foreigners like me & excellent seafood served, lobster, crab, prawn, oyster with fresh salad & crispy fries. Highly recommend to everyone. If i were to fly back here again from Malaysia or Singapore, I would definitely dine gere again & again. Thanks to all of you wonderful folks for making my stay in Tasmania so nostalgic. Oh i was here in Sep 2015.

Chanced upon this store today and the food was phenomenal. I don't usually go through the hassle of writing a review while travelling but the food and service here justifies it. The clam chowder here is possibly the best you can ever get! A definite must for those passing by
