Our BnB host recommended this place - and I am not disappointed at all! Food is great (complex taste, everything cook to perfection) and reasonably priced, we enjoyed the lunch so much! Wine pairing also available :)

Diana was amazing. Easy to talk with and wanted to engage with us from the moment we walked in. The cellar door is amazing as is the grounds it is on. When we get married, we would love to get married here and drink their wines and re experience our time there yesterday!

Really enjoyed the tasting and took away a couple of bottles. I wish I'd had more time to try Mel's kitchen nextdoor... Next time!

We haven't had the chance to enjoy Mel's Kitchen yet but Springvale Vineyard and the staff who guided us through their tasting were so friendly and helpful. The wines are delicious too, couldn't have asked for a nicer experience.

Amazing winery, especially enjoyed the Gewurztraminer, Rosé and the Pinot Noir.
Also had something to eat at Mel's kitchen, was of a good standard, very tasty and really enjoyed.
Definitely a standout Winery in Tassie.

It's hard to know where to start, the winery and tasting area is low key and very inviting, so relaxing and a lovely place to be.
We dropped in without a booking and were made more than welcome by a friendly and very knowledgeable staff member.
We left with a couple of cases of fantastic reds and have since bought several more.
It really is worth calling into these smaller, more personal wineries as they are what Tasmania is all about.
We are mainlanders, we had an amazing time in Tasmania, Springvale was one of the highlights.

I love going to smaller wineries and found this one on our trip. Love that the cellar door has its own history and the wine was delicious. We took 4 of them home to Melbourne with us - Melrose Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, rose and Riesling! Delicious.
Also the lady at the cellar door was a great host!

A must place to stop when visiting the East Coast wineries. Delicious food, fantastic wine and wonderful staff. We stopped off and we’re doing some wine tasting separate to the dining area - staff came over to let us know that our food was ready. Highly recommend.

We were driving to the beautiful Freycinet National Park and along the drive appeared a very familiar name. Having worked as a Sommelier, Springvale is on my top go to everyday wines. Most people only talk about their “Melrose” Pinot Noir but trust me, you have to try their Gewurtzraminer (both table and dessert wine). If you love Asian food, this is the perfect wine right here.
PS if you are driving a low slung exotic, you would need to creep along as the entrance drive is all stone/gravel and about a mile to the cellar door.
Just get a bottle of the Louisa and you will thank me!

Dianne created an awesome experience. It was great to learn so much about the Tasmanian wine regions. The Pinot noir was also a knock out!

We were treated by our son to a beautiful meal at Mel's Kitchen for me and my husband's birthdays. The food was delicious and Meg serviced a near full restaurant magnificently on her own. We went across to the cellar door and was delightfully served by Diana. We were on our way to Freycinet. 3 days later on our way back we called in to purchase the wines we enjoyed. What an amazing greeting from Diana. She remembered our birthdays and our son's treat. Made our day! Great service! Well done!

There were a number of the usual, but nice, wines here, as well as some different varieties, such as a shiraz rose and Gewurztraminer. The staff were pleasant and attentive.

The tasting experience is in a delightful old building, and the wines are super. The pinot noir and the gewürztraminer are wonderful. Mel's Kitchen adjacent provided lovely food, and friendly professional service. Highly highly recommended as a stop on the East Coast.
