I have been to this restaurant more than 10 times on visits to the East Coast. It is an astonishingly good restaurant - a true treasure of a chef who can vary his menu every time, and every dish I have ever had there was magnificent. His vegetable dishes are superb, and the duck!! Lovely setting too, and the Milton wines are so wonderful too.

The chef is a genius, this has to be the most underrated restaurant in Tasmania. Constantly changing menu featuring local ingredients prepared with huge skill and ingenuity (esp considering he is own his own/miniscule size of the kitchen). Beautiful pasta, beautiful veg and exciting produce not often found (hare, duck etc). So much respect for his skill and also the sourcing of these ingredients which must be quite a challenge given the relatively remote location.
Lovely location overlooking Milton's grape vines (their wine is delicious too, I love the pinot/champagne and Gewurtztraminer too especially)

Amazing place with wonderful, simple food. By simple, I don't mean easy, I mean the chef trusting high quality ingredients and preparing them beautifully. Feel very lucky to have stumbled across this place before it inevitably becomes too popular and you have to start booking weeks in advance.

Lovely setting, good wine to accompany and great service too btw.

Our 5th visit to ALM at Milton's, so pleased it's open again!! Easily the best restaurant on the East Coast.
Amazingly good food using beautiful ingredients with traditional techniques. Very reasonably priced for the quality.
