Coral Beach Lodge

I didn't stay here as we are locals, but it is a great place to stop and relax, away from the busy tourist areas. Quieter and low key, there are some great dining options site to please everyone including the kids. Prices are very reasonable, both for food and drinks. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, will be one of our regular stops.

Recently went here for dinner with family in Port Douglas after hearing good things. And was not disappointed!
Terrific venue, very relaxed and comfortable. Meals were huge and extremely well priced. Food did take a while to be served after ordering, but it was a busy night.
Drinks were also very well priced. Staff were incredibly friendly and hard working.
I plan to make this my new go to for Port Douglas!

Lovely hostel with very friendly staff. Perfect location to get to beach, port Douglas centre and onwards. Free parking available and safe area. Clean, spacious rooms with a fridge and AC. Lots of amenities: Book exchange, table tennis, pool table, swimming pool and well equipped kitchen. Would recommend to others. Great location near shops/beach!

We called in here for a drink and a meal - even though it was after meal hours they happily served us and the burger was delicious. The owner noticed we were checking footy scores on our phones so he offered to put it on the big screen for us. Turned into a fabulous night - friendly welcoming and attentive staff, great ambience, reasonably priced food and drinks and as a bonus our team won. Thank you.

I was very impressed with the lodge. Bed was perfect, sheets were fresh (not worn through) and the bathroom was as clean as any you will find. Good security great facilities. Assume best value for lodging in Port Douglas or even Cairns. All guest very respectful of each other at this facility. No hesitation for a longer term stay.

Coral beach lodge have been my house for the last 4 months. I have a wonderful experience there, a quiet environment, beautiful pool and shared spaces.
I stayed in a private room with my boyfriend, very comfortable, spacious and clean. Thomas and Kylie was always very friendly. Thank you for our lovely stay! Without doubt I will stay in Coral again if I return to port douglas.

Just had an awesome weekend in Port Douglas, Booked three rooms (one room per family), left the car across from the court house after celebrations and walked in to collect the next morning, wasn't far at all, plus if you really wanted to you could hire the beam scooters and scoot into town even faster. We had several communal gatherings during our stay, was really great to cook breakfast and enjoy it all together, kids loved the facilities the pool, table tennis, and pool table. Kids watched TV in the communal TV area while we cooked and cleaned up breaky, it was great. Rooms were awesome, and staff amazing, cheerful and very helpful!! All the guests were lovely too, very respectful, they enjoyed themselves and the facilities like we did but nothing past unreasonable hours. Very Chill and respectful.

Helpful friendly owners, Thomas and Kylie very welcoming and helpful. Good sized rooms with plenty of storage lots of hot water. Lovely pool setting and garden views. We have already booked twice for next year.😊🙂

Travelling on my own for the first time, I was a little nervous, but the moment I met Tom and Kev (and Bonnie), I felt at ease - fantastic service. Room is great, can't fault it, especially for the price. Great facilities and location is perfect. If anyone leaves a bad review then that's a reflection of them, not Coral Lodge! This place is bloody awesome!!

Very welcoming, larger than average hotel room. Well stocked kitchen for own use. Dinner in restuarant area very good.

Staff were so welcoming and helpful. Everything was so peaceful and available from the gardens, the room, 'cinema', and games areas. Great price and location. We were a local family of 5 and the price for all of us was affordable so we stayed 3 nights instead of 2. Will definitely go back.

I lived at coral beach lodge for 7 months with a group of friends. Tom and Kevin and of course Bonnie were so accommodating and welcoming as this was the first time we had lived out of home. They helped us feel safe and settle in to port Douglas very quickly! We are all forever grateful for there humour, kindness and love!!

I stay for 3 months in this beautiful hostel. Tom and Kevin are the best hosts ever. We were a big group of friends sharing a home, and Tom and Kevin look after us all the time. They were kind, funny, an extremely helpful owners. They kept the hostel clean and tidy. Always looking to make improvements.
I will recommend this places to everyone that is looking for nice, quiet, and cozy place to stay a couple of days or for a long time. Miss you guys♥

Hey everyone! I was one of the lucky people to stay as guest at the Coral Beach Lodge, my experience was beyond amazing. Tom and Kevin will receive you in the best way possible and will always make sure all of your needs are taken care of. Definitely a home away from home. I stayed there as a long term for over 3 months and everything is excellent. The rooms are beautiful, the location, the toilets and the kitchen.
I already miss it!

Friendly staff who provided lots of information. Room was large and very clean. We were able to get together as a group for breakfast cooked in the communal kitchen. Easy walking distant to town or reasonably priced shuttle bus available.

Perfect hotel to stay at in Port Douglas! Amazing location, 15 minute walk from the Marina and the main hub, as well as 5 minute walk to the 4 mile beach! As well Beam Scooters available right at the lobby, perfect way to travel all around Port Douglas, also has great share pool, that doesn’t get too busy, fantastic COVID safety, great customer service with a wide range of knowledge! Will definitely come back to this hotel! Perfect location, affordable and amazing customer service! Couldn’t ask for more!!

Fantastic lodge! Tom & Kev are terrific and so accommodating! They are pleasant to everyone and even though there are some disrespectful guests, they try their hardest to get them to pick up their act so it doesn't affect others. Bonnie the friendliest dog at reception is gorgeous 🐶 and a bonus in my eyes 😊. Highly recommend.

We had a great visit to Coral Beach Lodge, it was basic with Very clean room, nice and modern decor, very comfortable bed, the staff were very helpful and accommodating. All in all a great budget place to stay. Didn't use the pool, but it was well patronised and look nice and clean.

It has taken my daughter and I a while to write this review as we cannot express the thanks that we have towards the coral beach lodge staff. We stayed there for a couple of weeks when we had a lot of trouble getting back home interstate. The staff were super friendly and always had a smile on their faces. When we booked we noticed that they mentioned they aren’t really like a backpackers. My daughter and I were sceptical but upon arrival we were extremely impressed. The rooms had heaps of storage and the mini fridge was an excellent addition to the room. The kitchen had heaps of space and storage with plenty of appliances and again it was never dirty, cleaned all the time by the friendly staff. The common rooms were also very nice and tidy. (My daughter loved the free pool table and Netflix on demand!) the swimming pool was always nice and warm and overall our experience was 100/10. While not being at our own home was hard the lodge truely was our home away from home.

SERVICE WAS AMAZING. The blokes at the front were so friendly and took such good care of us, loved meeting their friendly fur pal. The pool was gorgeous and they had plenty of other facilities such as a nice kitchen, pool tables, outdoor lounging areas ect. The best part was it was located in the perfect place a quiet street close to the main strip of shops and the beach. Super convenient!!! And for the price you get so much more than you’d expect code locks on the doors huge flat screen smart tvs brand new aircons and the rooms were very spacious compared to other places we have stayed at throughout the coast (and they were more expensive). It was clean and tidy. They also had the electric scooters out the front which we found were the best for exploring port Douglas. Highly recommend for a great place too stay that’s not going to break the bank but still comes with everything you need. would highly recommend and hope to be back some day soon!!!!
