I am a patient of Doc. Shama. I have been under his care for 2+ years. His care is the best I have had in a long time. He always asks what happening and he actually appears to care. You are not a number. The nurses in recovery are the best and never push you out the door. Only problem is your appointment time and your treatment is about 20 to 50 minutes late. I alway expect with any type service.

Optometrist Carmen did my cross linking procedure - I felt so comfortable as soon as I went into the procedure room. She talked me through every thing she was doing, made sure I felt comfortable the whole way through and constantly assured me I was doing a great job. Thank you Carmen! Having someone like you doing my procedure made it so much more comforting and it is truly appreciated!

Dr David Gunn is such an amazing doctor and I would happily suggest him to anyone! Despite his busy schedule, he made the effort to come into the procedure room to see how I was doing and if I had any questions - thank you doctor!!

I did the surgery on 18th Sep 2018. The surgical procedure was nice and quick . Nil pain. I am very grateful. Also, I want to thank you my first point nurse Olivia, you are such a happy spirit to relieve patient ‘s tension. And thank you Nurse Meghan for suggesting me to take the hair band off so that I can lay down more comfortablely.

Yet again Dr Pane and the team have been extremely professional and supportive during my husband Donald Parvin's cataract surgery. He has run out of eyes now, but when I am due for the same surgery, I won't be looking any further than Dr Pane, and I have no hesitation in recommending him.

I'm highly impressed with this professional organisation. I had two cataracts removed with lens implants performed by Dr Cronin recently. Today was my last test and review. 20/20 vision in both eyes with absolutely no complications. They do all of the hard work for you. The equipment is state of the art and the staff very efficient. I had excellent treatment at Queensland Eye Institute - Dr Brendan Cronin being my surgeon. I had cataracts removed and intra-ocular lenses inserted. He has given me sight without contact lenses or glasses. I am very thankful for his expertise and his cheerful manner.

Dr David Gunn performed two cornea DMEK transplants for me, including cataract interocular lens replacements, in late 2018. I was suffering from Fuchs Endothelial Dystrophy. The outcomes were perfect both times - no follow-up procedures were required, and the donor corneas stuck like glue.

Dr Gunn is highly skilled; he is up-to-date with the latest enhancements to the existing transplant technology. I consulted three corneal transplant ophthalmologists in Brisbane and feel very fortunate to have had Dr Gunn perform my surgery.

He has an unhurried, reassuring manner, encouraged me to ask questions, gave excellent explanations, and allowed me all the time I need. In summary, I am very impressed by him.

I am very pleased with the service that I received from all staff nurses and doctors. I have had surgery on 1 eye for a cataract 6 weeks ago I now have 20 vision in that eye and tomorrow I have surgery on my left eye for cataract removal and I am confident that once my eye heals I will have 20/20 vision and I won't need to wear glasses only for reading. Prof Ravi Thomas is absolutely great. From the moment I saw him he was humble, caring, jovial and very professional at his job. He spent time in consulting and explaining thoroughly. I will highly recommend Prof Thomas at this clinic.

Dr Anthony Kwan is an absolute legend!! I am 27 years of age and have leakage in the back of my eyes and am already going blind. This is terrifying for anybody to hear, but being so young it is almost soul destroying. I have to have monthly needles in my eye from now on. My first one was today and because of all the friendly staff and exceptional bedside manner and humour Dr Kwan brings I did not feel nervous or anxious. I cannot reccomend Dr Kwan enough and I also urge anybody who is able to, donate to the Queensland Eye Institute. If I am ever in the position to do so I will be throwing my full weight in monetary donations to them. Thank you so very much for making somebody who was so scared and anxious about having a needle on their eye feel so comfortable and at ease. Complete trust!

I’m 6 months post-op PRK in both eyes and couldn’t be happier! Dr. Gunn and the team were very professional, informative and put me completely at ease throughout the entire process.

I found everyone very kind and understanding. Had two cataracts removed and two new lenses.

Can't praise the staff and specialists enough. Very efficient. Sometimes you may have to wait a while so be prepared with a good book or something to pass the time.
