Southern Cross Atrium Apartments

My stay at Southern Cross Atrium Apartments was wonderful. The studio apartment was spacious and had a lovely big balcony overlooking the swimming pool. Being located on the top floor, it was quiet most of the time, although there was occasional noise in the morning during delivery times from across Cairns Central. However, this served as a gentle wake-up call to start my day exploring Cairns. The complex's location is perfect, within walking distance to the train station, shopping centre, and various food outlets in Cairns. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily return in the future.

Great place, great location, great neighborhood. The staff were incredibly friendly and told us all about the tablelands. I was shocked that there was even a staff member who spoke Japanese as well.

If there is a downside, it is that the wifi is slow.

Here for just over week working nearby. Close to shops and CBD. Apartment so I could cook and saved because of this. Good pools & generally quiet. In the flight path sometimes and railway next door but no issue really. Watch out for the climb in/out of the shower/bath if mobility is an issue.

Great place to stay. Walking distance to the shopping centre and very close to the night life. There's a stove, fridge, Kettle and microwave, plus the shower in the bathroom was amazing. Access to an awesome pool as well. If you want something low-key affordable and comfortable, then look no further 👌

This was our first proper trip with our toddler so a lot of our decision making for accommodation was based around this. That said, we feel we made the right choice to stay at the Southern Cross Atrium Apartments. It ticked all the boxes in terms of amenities, on site parking, pool and location. Our room was well laid out with all that you would expect from a self contained apartments. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed here for 16 nights in August, and we couldn't have picked a better place, The location is excellent, the staff very friendly, the 1 bed pool access is very well equipped with everything you need. A bonus was the heated pool and spa. The bed was very comfy too. Cairns central shopping Centre is right on your door step and the bars and restaurants of Sheridan street a 5 minute walk away and the esplanade a 10 minute. We will definitely be coming back.

Loved staying here. Nice roomy apartment with all the amenities we needed. We loved the pools in particular. Excellent proximity to the shopping complex and didn’t mind the walk down to the Esplanade and Lagoon. Will highly recommend Southern Cross Atrium Apartments to all our friends and family.

Great service after midnight being received at that late hour. The service did not stop there in later part of the morning, operation of security and local information being provided. Our first morning gaze out from our balcony, we were surprised by a mountain view whose cap was cover by clouds. Below we saw 3 swimming pools and spa.

Great self-contained apartment, with very good bed. Extremely well located - very close to large shopping centre, very close to Cairns railway station for Kuranda rail, 10 minute leisurely walk to Marina and foreshore boardwalk. Lots of places to eat within easy walking distance. Very helpful staff. Would definitely stay there again.

Great budget accommodation, situated across from the shopping centre. 10min walk to restaurants and 20 min to Esplanade and wharf. 3 pools to choose from, 1 between each building. Spa at each pool and sauna and small gym at end of heated pool. Our apartment was pool view with kitchen which was well equipped and perfect for our 10 night stay. Would stay again.

Nice and clean place to stay. All the things we needed in the room were provided. Room service is only available for guests staying minimum 7 nights. Luggage storage is available and is great.
Things for improvement: add some free weights for the gym.

Our 1 bedroom apartment is spacious, and has all the features you need, located centrally in town, however the bathroom could do with a renovation. The swimming pools are beautiful, and at a great temperature.

Great apartment for a week stay, 2 pools, clean spacious rooms. Ideal for an extended stay in Cairns. Good for a home away from home. Have stayed recently multiple times, always reliable. Nice clean room with weekly housekeeping. Handy to have laundry facilities in room.

Lovely small apartments with pleasant views over the pool. Centrally located so it was really easy to get to the train station, mall and esplanade.

Spacious and nice comfortable bed. large deck and equip kitchen, and washing machine and dryer. Nice size deck to enjoy too.
i originally booked for one week and extended for another, would have stayed another two weeks but i left my rebooking too late and missed out as they became fully booked. (my own fault)
I recommend to stay here if your planning a long holiday.

Great for families, we were on the ground floor by the heated pool which was just perfect for our little water baby.
The apartment had everything we needed and was in walking distance to everything.
Plenty of towels supplied including some supplies to run the appliances.

This place is great! I can’t fault it. Our room was great it’s the deluxe room, it includes a full kitchen with dishwasher. Seperate bedroom with king size bed, built in wardrobe, bathroom has a washer & dryer, we had 2 balconies, the large one has a 2 seater lounge,outdoor table and chairs for 4,with shutters to block out the light or privacy and ceiling fan to keep you cool, some rooms overlook the pool, There are 3 pools and they are all great, bbq facilities as well as bbq seating, there is also a small gym and sauna. Felix rooms are serviced every 3rd day. Not a lot of parking, but there is street parking out the front, it’s a short walk to Cairns Central and train station, It’s not that far to the CBD either so you can walk there to just leave after dark to make it easier on yourself. Overall 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 We will be back.

We stayed here for seven nights, 2 adults and 2 kids in a deluxe 2 room. We absolutely loved it. The rooms where clean and modern. Lovely pool areas with the water perfect temperature. Lovely big balcony overlooking one of the pools. Great location with walking distance to everything you need. This will be the place we stay now when we plan to come back to holiday in Cairns.

The service is great. Very friendly and helpful 😁 The rooms are really well maintained and comfortable to stay in.
