Mr PP's Rooftop and Laneway

Quite small spaces yet cozy, very close to tram station which is very handy if you will go for a drink and just enjoy the night. Food was great, worth the price. staffs were very attentive and friendly. They also had a live music which is also a plus. Definitely i will go back again.

A great spot right near the tram line, a pretty spot for dinner and drinks! Pizza has a great crust, and pasta had amazing flavour.

Drinks are always tasteful, and staff are very nice.

Third time here and will be returning!

I’ve been to Mr PP’s twice now, and have enjoyed it both times. The food is wonderful, and I do recommend a sharing style meal with your group because there is just so much to try. Whilst it's not overly creative or out-there, each dish is close to perfect for what it is.

The service is fantastic. The staff are friendly, helpful and experienced, which is important to me as we were eating in a large group with some dietary requirements. Our server in particular, Monica S, was kind, helpful and attentive. She was even able to charge my phone for me when I asked!

The only slight issue we had was that we were offered a sparkler on the cake that we had brought, and when the cake came out there was no sparkler, but this is in no way a big deal. Just make sure that if you have your heart set on sparklers or candles that you double check with the staff.

The atmosphere is lovely and the whole setup and concept is really cool. For a Southport location, they’ve managed to actually make it quite nice. Due to the size of our party, we were sat at a high table. The only problem with our seating was that the chairs were hard metals stools with no back, which was uncomfortable for our older family members, but totally understandable on the restaurant’s part, and I’m sure if you request something else in advance they will be happy to accommodate.

The food is on the dearer side, and I would go here for a casual lunch, but for a special occasion or event, or if you have a lot to spend, it is definitely one of my favourites on the Gold Coast.

We just love this place and it’s become our go to for birthdays, dinner or a cheeky cocktail.

The staff are fabulous and if seafood is your thing then you can’t go past the white anchovies. Simple perfection!

Love this place! The vibe is really chilled and the staff are great. Visited twice and both occasions the experience was great. First time sat upstairs - busy (in a good way), louder music and lots of excitement. Second visit sat downstairs and I really enjoyed how way more chill it was. Music still on but way more chill and relaxed. Fewer people downstairs too which made it feel like we had the place to ourselves! Really enjoyed it - different vibe! Great food and drinks at reasonable prices. Highly recommend

Maybe the best pizza I've ever had. First time I've ever been happy to pay premium price for a pizza. We had the Mr PPs and the Sopresa and they were worth every dollar. If you love a sweet + salty combo I would highly recommend 🤩

We like to go to Mr PP’s 😊 specially when something else is going on in Southport or Broadwater Parklands. The whole atmosphere of this place is amazing ✨🤩✨ we always book a table for two upstairs and outside as close to the street as you can get. Love people watching from up there 😄🙈 all the time when we go, every person who works there, is super friendly and accommodating. The menu is not too small and there is plenty of options to choose from. Try the Aranchinie balls to start with and maybe get a couple of different pasta dishes with a pizza to share 😉 that’s what we do and we love it 💖💖💖 bottle of wine and you good to go for a nice sunset dinner over the streets in Southport!!! I always recommend Mr PP’s to everyone who is asking for a nice Italian style restaurant!!! Thanks for always making us feel welcome 🤗

1. Truffle fries is awesome! Strong truffle flavour mixing shredded cheese is perfect topping.

2. Seafood spaghetti's ingredients are well-balanced. Prawn is chewy and tender. Little spicy is the biggest surprise.

3. I do like the pizza dough. However, tomato sauce is little bit sour for me.

I can’t speak highly enough of our experience at Mr PP’s. The place itself looks great. Great amount of seating and variety of tables indoors and outdoors. They have heaters to keep you warm if you’re outside and rooftop is covered so you can still enjoy it in the rain.

For drinks we ordered Prohibition which was divine and the other was a station something and was delicious.

Starters were garlic pizza bread and the antipasto platter. We cleaned out both plates. The garlic bread had big chunks of the most tenderized pieces of garlic. Beautiful. The arancini was the most flavourful I’ve ever had. I think there was more mushroom in there than rice. The olives, fab. The first bite of the cheese felt like a punch to my salivary glands. I had to take a minute! Perfection.

Mains were margherita pizza and smoked almond pizza. They were both divine. You’ve never had a pizza like the smoked almond. You have never.

The servers were absolutely lovely. Very quick to come if we needed anything, asked if we wanted chilli oil which we keenly said yes to. Surprise, surprise - it was also gorgeous.

Food came out very quick. Bill came to $140 for all the above. Quality of every element in the food is very, very high. Great music but not too loud that you have to shout to speak. Plenty of folks there on a Friday night laughing and chatting. Great vibe.

Our only regret is not discovering this place sooner than we did. We will undoubtedly be back for more of their amazing food, drinks, service and atmosphere.

Delicious food and great cocktails this place is definitely going to be a regular local haunt. Up above street level the service and quality of the food is high.

We’ve been here quite a few times now and it’s sensational. The food is divine and the customer service is always excellent.

Also, if you’re after a martini that’s so dirty it’s basically pornographic, then Shannon is your man! Best dirty martini on the coast

Definitely recommend Mr PPs

The menu offers a generous selection, not lacking in choices. To kick off our meal, we savored Arancini balls, Wagyu Bresola, and a rocket salad. For our main courses, we relished Venison (deer) pasta and Buffalo chicken pizza, all enjoyed during a delightful dinner overlooking the streets of Southport!

The Arancini balls were a delightful surprise, brimming with wild mushroom and truffle salsa, crowned with gorgonzola emulsion. As for the Venison pasta, it was a first-time experience with venison meat, and I was impressed by its tenderness. The service was outstanding; they accommodated my request to switch the pasta to fusilli instead of pappardelle. The pizza was equally delightful, featuring creative and unique toppings and combinations.

Nice cosy spot in Southport to catch up with friends after work. Great cocktails, decent wine and original tasty pizzas. Friendly staff.

We loved the ambiance of the the rooftop.

The food was fantastic and the pizza was generously topped, and pasta was a good portion and the price wasn’t crazy at all. Will be coming back next time we are in the area!

Great little roof top bar and food was great staff we're very quick to take orders and food came out quick for being a mother's Day. Very trendy little place with a Melbourne vibe to it.

Loved the roof top. Great food, had a pizza and a salad, both were really tasty. Would definitely eat here again. An unexpected treat.

Had my daughter's 1st Birthday and Baptism party here and it was perfect. Catered for around 40 ppl on the rooftop, dealt with Naomi, the Events Manager and she was a delight and so helpful. The staff on the day were amazing, thank you Lucy and Nathan! It ran smoothly, I was able to enjoy the day as well knowing that I didn't need to worry about anything other than everyone enjoying themselves. Pizzas are amazing, and everyone was happy with the babes being there as well. Words can't describe. PS the Spicy Mama (spicy margarita cocktail) is the goods!

Sunday afternoon with fantastic music 🎶 , a cold beer🍻 , Parmesan fries and calamari - a great way to end the weekend. Service was good. First time there and look forward to going back 😊 loved they had nice clean, warm blankets for the cool air to keep the cold away.

POPULAR NIGHT SPOT

This is a quaint popular location for drinks and food. There is indoor and outdoor areas to sit and enjoy the hospitality here. There's a roof top bar and eating area which is very popular. We had the pizzas and they were delicious and didn't leave you feeling bloated. The red and white wines we found smooth, tasty and enjoyable. Love the Merlot. We love that the GLink Tram stops directly outside the front of this place so that you can get here and have drinks without having to worry about driving.
