The Big Golden Guitar

This is a great little town! The golden guitar cafe is brilliant, thanks to Graham, Marlene and Von! Super support the local filo chef too. Food was terrific and a tasty slice of this country town 😋

Lovely little Cafe attached to the information centre where the golden guitar lives. Have a walk around town to see the bronze statues of the great country singer's.

The information centre at the Golden Guitar was fantastic. The lady gave us a very detailed list of things to do and see in the area.
The Wax Museum is out the back and worth visiting.

This place is at the information centre, you can't miss it as the giant guitar is standing out the front. The museum is $10.00 each and discounted for seniors. I not sure it is really for kids because most of the wax dummies were of old country singers and a lot of reading ( I could be wrong though). They have done it really well and lot of country singers have donated their guitars for the public pleasure. The girls were really friendly on the desk and very informative.

Great place to spend a hour or so plenty to see along of Australian music history well worth a visit

We popped in this morning to grab a souvenir. The staff were very nice. All of them made sure to say hello and asked us if we needed a hand.

Great spot to visit and get information. Has a wax Famous People display in it as well.
The golden guitar is big, putty it didn't have strings.

A very nice looking tourist spot in tamworth for all the country fans and folks. Even if youre not, seeing these wax figurines and guitars (original and replica) were extremely cool and something to look at at least once if youre in the area. The service was also fantastic, and i believe it doubled as a sort of information centre. The lady was very helpful and friendly, and my parents were chatting with them for a very long time, asking questions about their little museum and also about things to do in the area.

They also had a massive golden guitar standing at their front, serving as a sort of monument of tamworth.

Very busy with tourists, the wax figures were pretty good. The information displayed with the figures was very informative. The guitar room was interesting.

The staffs are sooooo nice 🥰 we enjoyed our visit 🎸

Guitar heaven! A thorough exhibition of all things country music. There are two parts; the Tamworth Gallery of Stars Wax Museum and the National Guitar Museum. There are numerous famous Country Music stars throughout the Wax Museum with a small write up describing their life and claim to fame. This part is very well done. The second part is the National Guitar Museum which contains a comprehensive collection of guitars and music memorabilia. Not to mention the Golden Guitar at the front of the property and the first thing you'll notice driving up. Highly recommended. Get there early to avoid the huge crowds. Very enjoyable even if you're not into Country Music.

This was an awesome stop in Tamworth, at "The Golden Guitar" right beside the information centre.

We were first to get some photos together at the guitar, gees we took a few and to early to get into the visitor centre.

Took several shots and took some for others that turned up, good fun, very early Sunday morning, after an awesome breakfast at the accomdation.

This is great, then used maccas toilets and got on the road. Always awesome and easy to find the big tourist site.

Visited the Golden guitar cafe today, a regular choice of ours for coffee or lunch. The food is always 1st class!
We are always greeted by the friendly staff at the tourist information desk upon our arrival,who, if we weren't locals, would be happy to help us with anything to do with the area & surrounds.
The giant guitar out the front of course is a great photo opportunity & with fuel stations, a chemist & homewares shops nearby it's a handy place to stop.

One of the important landmark in Tamworth, visitors should stop and take photos in front of it. It has enough space for parking nearby to keep the moment by photos. It is on the road from Tamworth to Muswellbrook. Indeed, it is a symbol to remember while visiting Tamworth.

Worth the visit to the golden guitar. The information centre is interesting as well with signed guitars from country royalty. Worth the visit.

Lives up to the name, its pretty damn big. What a great place to visit on a road trip with the family, we sure loved it!!
