Best Western Sanctuary Inn

Pool and spa were a delight on a hot muggy day. Our room was clean and comfortable with toiletries provided and beach towels for the pool as well.
Free wifi worked well. Yummy continental breakfast available in the Restaurant. Fruit jars, toast, coffee and juice were delicious. Parking a bit tight but you can park anywhere.
Customer service was very good.

Do not take any notice of the bad reviews very clean comfortable beds very quite all over had a great stay very friendly staff only disappointment was the restaurant was booked out but you can get room service if you wish

Friendly staff and clean rooms. Only down side was that the water in the shower used to fluctuate between boiling and freezing. Other than that it was beautiful hotel. Amazing restaurant I had the continental breakfast it was consistent throughout my 4 day stay. Dinner was great as well but I’d recommend to stay away from the $50 steak wasn’t worth it and the roasted potatoes tasted weird.

Located close to Tamworth this place is a comfortable stay for trips away. The rooms are comfortable and clean. With daily servicing to keep it tidy.

Rooms are probably due for a refresh with new televisions probably on the list for the owners but they were adequate.

The team at both front desk and in the bar/restaurant are friendly and chatty without being overly so.

Location is close to town with supermarket, takeaway and bottle shop close by. Only 1km to Peel St cafes and shops this is a great place for short stay.

Lovely comfortable place to stay. Friendly staff who can’t do enough to help and really delicious food from the kitchen. Comfortable beds and lovely clean rooms.

Pretty cool Motel with nice staff. You get that good ole Tamworth hospitality there. A good chat and some laffs.
I stayed in room 12 .. bit of an issue with the Wifi as could not connect down in room 12 but in the hotel reception all connected.. but still not to worry. Clean rooms and coffee and tea there. Nice shower.
Nothing fancy but clean and neat.
Went to Tamworth for a work conference and the staff at the place were awesome and friendly. If you want stuff done talk to Renae .. she is awesome and can organise anything.
I vote Renae for Mayor of Tamworth.. haha..
She looked after the conference upstairs and was so organised and professional..even after some of the timeslots she was given by the company were a bit off.. she just went with the flow and got things to happen. So yeah.. go Renae.. !! Sanctuary Inn gets my vote because of its people.. good folks there. Thanks for the vibes.

Liked · My wife & l did our research on reviews for Best Western Sanctuary Inn, as well as other accomodation available in Tamworth (having never been to Tamworth previously, & not knowing anyone involved with or employed by the business/company). Decided to experience it for ourselves & put the many negative/petty reviews to the test. We will be back! Loved the location - being on the same side of the river as the CBD (& not far from the CBD, but still reasonably quiet!) was helpful & easier, but having access to the Woolworths over the road was also a beneficial option. Free Parking was great, especially with CBD having some ticketed parking. Stayed in a Superior Queen Room & slept like logs every night despite being closer to the road. Our room was clean & with small signs of use/wear, but not outdated - bed comfortable & mattress etc clean. No issues with water pressure or temperature, & the detachable shower head was thoughtful - also thoughtful was provision of pool towels in the room. Pool & Spa were operational & we thoroughly enjoyed that area every day of our stay. Handy note: "Spa" button does not have an "Off" switch, but switches off automatically after about 10 mins. Decent sized, fenced grass area behind the pool that kids could opt to play in. Pool 1.9 metres deep at one end... welcome news for tall people! Pool itself also had a stair free entrance as well as step entrance, which was helpful - a ramp to access the pool & grassy area/a wheelchair hoist would be great in future, if installed! Breakfast (Continental) was included in our booking - All fresh & plenty of delicious choice! Dined at Riviera one night - Pork Belly divine, as was the Mango Sorbet & Pistachio Ice Cream. Another patron ordered a Pasta dish - Pasta was twirled/mixed at the table by the server, who topped it with cheese after asking the patron. Compliments to Chef & Staff!

Arrived and they gave us an upgrade to a king room. Couldn't have had a better night's sleep. The bed and pillows were divine. Had a shower and the pressure was excellent. Room also had coffee pod machine. Breakfast was served quickly and hot. The bar and service was second to none. For weary travellers we were extremely grateful that we stumbled onto this haven.

What a fantastic motel. In the heart of Tamworth with all amenities close by.
It was lovely to come in with our dogs and they be given a bag of treats to welcome them! A great pet friendly motel, with a fenced in yard for your dog's to do their thing as well. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need.
The food here is amazing. It's absolutely delicious and the size of the servings are very generous. Prices were what we expected in a tourist town. We highly recommend this motel weather you are traveling with pets or not. Bloody ripper!!

Nice room with clean sheets. However, at night in the bathroom there were so many bugs from god knows where. Really need to fix this up somehow, whether through a pest control procedure or something else. The restaurant though was pretty nice.
Staff here were nice also - they let me know that my car headlights were on and probably avoided a call-out from NRMA and lots of trouble.

We really liked staying in the standed room , 52 with the sofa and table and chairs. The toilet and shower were large and very clean, after a long drive, a hot shower was perfect. The fridge was packed with goodies also. We were very impressed with the Reception and dinning, the ambience, as soon as you walk into the Reception is exceptionally. The rooms are Quite and roomy. We would recommend this beautiful Best Western Sanctuary to any travelers . Kind Regards Mr and Mrs Edwards.

Great staff. Great restaurant. attached. Spacious rooms. Comfy beds. Room service breakfast only, but really good. Barista coffee.
Some rooms are dated, some have been recently refurbished.
Standard beer list, good wine list.

Had an amazing lunch at the restaurant there today. The food was presented well and tasted delicious.
Both Rob & Georgie were very friendly and hospitable. My 5 year old daughter loved the special ice cream (although she didn’t eat her lunch - typical 5 year old 🙄)
Overall everything was up to standard and I cannot recommend this place enough!
Can’t wait to go back with more friends and family when the Covid-19 restrictions ease.

When i rang and booked the office girls were more than helpful.
Even offered when found we were on a bike to have the bike parked under cover!.
Arrived at recption polite and helpful staff.
Rooms were excellent. Beds huge and comfy.
Had dinner at restaurant food was to die for.
Staff at restaurant were polite and some of the best waitresses we have experienced.
Will stay there again
If you don't stay here you are missing out.

We took along our dog on our recent stay at Sanctuary Inn when we stopped over on our way to the Gold Coast.
The pet friendly room was perfect for us and the large fenced off grass area made for a great play spot for our dog to get his energy out.
Very comfortable stay overall with friendly staff and exceptionally good food.
Will definitely stay here again when we are passing by.

Another great stay with a ground floor room, extremely comfortable king size bed, easy parking, simple entry & exit, short walk to the main street and another exceptional dinner for 6 with 4 great mates. Great food (the gnocchi entree, salmon & duck mains and the home made sorbets were sensational), the drinks were great, as usual the smiling, helpful, welcoming & appreciative service was outstanding and the included continental breakfast more than met our needs

My girlfriend and I stayed in here when visiting friends in Tamworth. We could not recommend it more highly. The amenities of our were room were amazing and so modern. Great bathroom with huge rainfall shower. Beds were extremely comfortable and it was great because we were able to relax in our down time watch Netflix on the huge TV. The atmosphere of the hotel is very relaxed and the food at the restaurant was unreal. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area. You wouldn’t find a better place to stay in Tamworth

Didn't stay. Went for dinner which was excellent. Great food. Friendly and helpful staff. Looking forward to our next visit to Port Macquarie.
