Stayed one night on a trip between Sydney and Adelaide. Been restored and with the high ceilings didn't need to use the AC at night. Had breakfast in the Cafe in the same building. Pool was perfect for a late afternoon swim. Don't for get to head 16k north of Hay to watch the sunset and take your camera. Fantastic half way point on our trip

Hotel review only: Wonderful place to rest for the night halfway between the east coast and Adelaide. Everything was provided for the whole family (yes actually a towel and soap and water for each person staying! Amazing I know), comfortable room and beds, nice shower, quiet and beautiful location. Thank you!

Just beautiful. Airy, stylish and facilities to suit travelers. Super high ceilings. Glamour but a premium on comfort.

Best of all there is a delightful cafe on site and open from 7:30am every day.

We didn’t use the private pool but noticed it was very safe with lots of side tables and lounges for occupants.

Shared courtyard completely covered by a tent canopy. Clever choice.

Arrival is simple - one, or for internal rooms two keys.

Close to centre of town.

If I could give this place 1000 stars I would. I drove from Melbourne to Queensland and stayed the night coming back from Queensland. Our family suite was stunning my kids had an absolute ball.Kids we’re so excited when they opened up the fridge and saw the refreshments in the fridge I wasn’t expecting anything in the fridge as most places just have the standard coffee and tea The beds were comfortable as soon as my head touched the pillow I was out like a light. Suite was clean and tidy the girls really do a good job .The staff there are amazing Meggs is absolutely wonderful to deal with as I was running late with checking in she made sure we got into suites safely. There cafe is amazing definitely if your passing through Hay NSW and need to rest your head or just have a coffee the Convent is the place to stop. Definitely will be back. Thank you everyone there for looking after my family and myself. You guys are awesome especially Meggs your 1 in a million. Definitely coming back.

Driving through Hay on a Sunday, with our massive caravan, found this Sensational Cafe!!!! Did not dissappint at all. Great lunch, consisting of pumpkin soup, lasagne, quiche and a schnitzel burger 10/10.
Great menu, beautiful homestead to admire, top shelf service, and relaxing atmosphere.

Definetly will be back.

Well done 👏

A real surprise, offering a range of food, delicious desserts, and a multitude of seating sites.
The staff were great - cheerful, helpful, eager to please.
The building has been brought up to scratch yet retains that historical feel. Little things still to fix up, but nothing detracted from the experience - especially the outdoor covered area with central vine feature.
Additional surprise was the range of accommodation options.
Definitely worth a return visit, enjoying the accommodation, and using it as a base for exploring the town and surrounds.

We stopped for breakfast. The granola fruit and yogurt was awesome and the omelet (with ham cheese tomato onion and spinach/basil) was delicious. Perfectly cooked. The coffee was excellent and the garden and verandah lovely to sit on, fast service too.
We had scones jam and cream the day before. Delicious!

What a lovely tourist place!!! Don't miss it!!
you can feel the prayer in this place.
Like the signs say on the highway "the newest cafe in town" and what a fantastic history it has!
Once a Presentation Sisters Convent converted into a guest house and coffee shop.
Beautiful verandahs, a beautiful area out the back wrapped in grape vines and dotted with pot plants to make you relax.
Clean toilet out the back and don't forget the coffee and cakes and yummy afternoon teas and light lunches!!!
Make a point of coming to this place!!!
You will love the history, the furnishings, the food and coffee!!!
They finish up about 3.30 in the afternoon so don't delay!!!
Be blessed!!!

Great spot to stop. Friendly service and good cappuccino ☕ Also easy to park the caravan as it's not in the main street

Best burger of my life in all honesty (Convent Burger)… Charming staff and lovely environment. Would make a great boozer if they served alcohol and stayed open late!

We had breakfast here while traveling through Hay, and the staff were more than accommodating for our son's food allergies. Great food, great service, great coffee! Highly recommend them.

A jewel off the main road but worth finding it. Nice coffee and breakfast. Popular with the locals.
Wide street is easy parking with caravans.

Good coffee, plenty of dining options, and if you're looking for somewhere that's open when everything else is closed on a long weekend, this is the place
