New Crown Hotel Motel

Had a great feed and nice cold beer for tea tonight. Polite staff and fast service, 3 delicious quality crumbed cutlets served with potato salad, green salad(seeded mustard and balsamic dressing)and chips served 15min after ordering. Big thumbs up

We stayed overnight at New Crown Hotel Motel. We had everything we needed. Bistro serves large meals, great value.
Lovely staff, Shaun is especially helpful.

Had a good sleep, no outside noise. Several cafes and a bakery nearby to have breakfast in the morning.

Would stay again.

Best stop ever (on our way from Canberra to Adelaide). Clean, friendly staff, spacious, good water pressure in shower, kitchen had everything we can want, great level of maintenance, lovely garden, bed was super comfortable. Thanks,

Passing through from Adelaide to Canberra. Single bed room was all I needed. Room was clean, tidy and great value for money. Bistro served great value and large meals too.

I had planned to stay in another town, but did not get a good vibe from the place, so I ventured on to Hay. I called ahead to this pub and they had a room for me. I was welcomed by a genuinely polite and friendly person behind the bar and given the key to my room. This room was so good, (no.4). I stay in pubs regularly and this room had an en suite. A rare bonus! Add to that a TV, a comfy bed, (a touch too small for a table and chair, but did I mention the en suite?!) The meal I had downstairs was everything I needed. On my return trip I was hoping to make to Hay again, just so I could stay here again, but it was a bridge too far. Great pub. Great room. Great service.

Lovely country pub at the start of the out back and great food. Very professionally managed and highly recommend for atmosphere and staff who do a great job. Will always remember my time in Hay and thank you.

Honestly thought it was going to be noisy, but it was quiet. Food in the bistro was lovely, and the mattress in our room was super comfy. We got the 2 bedroom unit and could have stayed longer. Very pleasant indeed.

Fantastic budget accommodation in the centre of town! The staff were friendly but left us to do our own thing. Plenty of parking available and basic facilities in the room. The bathrooms are a little quirky but it is budget pub accommodation. I travelled with my kids and I would stay again

Mate, best feed ever, son is 16 and had the crown burger, his words, this burger should be famous 😋 I had plain chook veg an chips, veg was cooked to perfection, still slightly crunchy, chook superbly cooked. Great customer service. Definitely worth a drop in xx

Parking at rear, great nights sleep despite being in the main street. Clean and comfortable.

Best hotel in Hay. Aldo was friendly and made me feel at home. The best thing was he tucked you into bread at night and gave you a kiss on the forehead. Made me feel the warmth of a mothers love. Best steak burger I've had in a long time and great beer selection.

Didn't stay here, others travelling with us did, and from what I heard, the rooms were pretty good! I do know that the service in the restaurant and the bar was absolutely incredible though, always made to feel welcomed, the staff were all extremely friendly, and overall just a really nice atmosphere that was pleasant to be in! Absolutely recommend this place to anyone after a great feed, drink, somewhere to watch the footy, a general chill out and have a drink, or a reasonably priced room to recoup!

Rooms are spotless and super comfy. Beds are very comfortable with plenty of pillows. Rooms are upstairs (no lift) and there is private parking at the rear of the property. Meals in the pub are large and tasty and on the expensive side. All staff are friendly and helpful. Best value for money anywhere!

Good country pub food. Had the Chicken Parmy special with chips and salad. It was huge, and well priced. Tasted great.
Drinks from the bar, and pretty cheap compared to big city pricing.
Air conditioned, so nice and cool on a hot summer night.

The best experience in country hospitality I have ever come across !. After a long drive ,this lovely Pub and her happy & friendly staff is exactly what a road weary traveler is looking for . Great food ,great atmosphere and great fun night ! So much so we came back for a second time on our way home . Cheers Alex & Tony

Great stay for couple of nights bed comfortable with ensuite.

Where do I start… the most friendly bar staff, amazing bistro staff Devlon and Joe and not to mention Linda the superstar chef!! Her food was AMAZING 🤩 and the portions are just so worth the money!! The licensee was also very friendly and up for a chat even with a tourist like me passing through in a way that makes you feel like this is a place you can call home! The rooms are lovely and at such amazing prices you really cannot go past the New Crown Hotel Motel in Hay NSW ❤

I’m known amongst my friends as “foodie” because of the amount i eat and how fussy I am at the same time, I ordered a bruschetta which would have fed 3 it was loaded with toppings and just the right amount of balsamic on top, THEN came my mixed grill, thankfully I walked to the hotel as I’ll need to do 3 laps around the town to get it all down the serving was huge and everything on my plate from the sausages, rissoles, lamb loin chop , bacon and everything else I forgot in my food coma was cooked to perfection, I now have another reason to holiday in Hay again every year, the bar staff and everyone working here all had big smiles you honestly couldn’t ask for a better experience 👌

Joey in the restaurant is absolutely incredible. He is friendly, professional and goes the extra mile for his customers. It’s not often enough that great service is recognised… so well done Joey. Keep up the great work!
