Hornsby Mart

Thanks to Yui Takahashi's review. I learned about the weekly meal set offer, and gave it a try today. It is $110 and comes packed in a box.

Today being Lunar New Year day, the set came with rice cake soup, NaMool (3 kinds - reddish, spinach, fiddleheads), steamed meat dish, chestnut paste with fresh veggies, squid dish. I had 3 additional dishes added - Bulgogi, Japchae (potatoe noodles with veggies), Jeon (little pancakes - zucchini, fish and tofu/veggie mix) for $66.50.

I tried the squid dish, rice cake soup, little pancakes, potato noodles and NaMool. The rice cake soup base was rich bone soup kind and seasoned perfectly. The veggies jn the noodle were crunchy and cooked just right. Squid dish was sweet and sour and crunchy. All dishes taste like home made meals. Seasoning was done just right (not too salty or MSG flavor). I will definitly go back for more!

They got many pre-made korean side dishes - it's very nice and love to try them all. Last time I visit they were rearranging the store so there weren't many stocks but owner was kindly helped me to get what I needed.

This store offers a wide range of Korean groceries also traditional Korean pickles, meats for bbq and cooked pork at reasonable price and friendly and good service. There is a convenient car park on the side.

I am very sure nobody could give terrible stars to Hornsby Korean mart.
It is not actually big, but it looks very wide, because it is very clean and well organised.

There are some people who have never been to Hornsby Korean mart, but it is impossible to exist some body who have been there only once.

Strong recommendation
1) Korean side dishes made by themselves.
2) The owner couple are handsome and pretty. :)
3) Reasonable price and high quality in customer service.

A great local Korean Grocer. There to help if you have questions and have a good range of products. They now have fresh dishes made instore. If you love Korean you will defintely not be disappointed.
