2023. April. The Art gallery is housed in a beautiful old 2 storey building. We, Carte Blanche Artists were at the opening today of our exhibition 'Arboreal Connections'. (9th April-16th May)

Always interesting, thought provoking and good quality exhibitions as well as a gift shop with high quality and well priced products for sale.

I really enjoyed my visit here. The artwork is contemporary, relevant, and specific to the Gympie region. I came when Miriam Innes' exhibition was on, and loved it. The gift store is well-stocked with regional artists' pieces. The desk staff are passionate about regional tourism.

Well run gallery, friendly, kids activities happening, interesting exhibitions and really good gallery shop!

The grand proportions of the spaces inside this lovingly maintained two story 1905 brick building give themselves to exhibiting even the largest of works. Staff are engaging and knowledgeable. The curation of the exhibits is marvellous - you never realise just how important and skilful this is until you visit a gallery without one. What I love most is the variety of exhibits which pass through. There’s almost always something new to grab your fancy. A lift is available to help people move between the floors and there’s usually at least two major exhibits at any one time. Also air conditioned and a lot nicer to hang about in on scorchers than the supermarkets lol Recommended for all of the above reasons.

Gympie Regional Gallery is everything you expect from a regional gallery plus has a really nice gallery store. There is usually 3 gallery areas with exhibits. Volunteers at the desk are always lovely and there are art groups in house almost every weekday. The art education for “Art Stars” (children) is amazing with activities every school holidays.

So lovely to be in the company and learning from Aunty Cheryl Williams- Chambers at Gympie Art Gallery. Made blue-banded bee making with clay. Thanks Kelly and other gallery staff. Please tell Cheryl my girls really responded to her way of teaching. Great school holiday activity.

Always great exhibitions. Nice shop where unique art can be purchased. Beautiful, old building which used to be the Gympie School of Arts.

Easy and free parking, intense but relaxed atmosphere, pleasant and helpful staff, community meeting/workshop rooms and of course, interesting and intriguing exhibitions.

I love my local gallery. The staff and volunteers are A1. Beautiful surrounds, presentation and paintings. Also on sale are other beautiful and wonderful art works. Peaceful and calm.

For a small regional gallery they have outstanding exhibitions. The heritage building itself is worth visiting for the beautiful original staircase(that yy also have an elevator for the differently abled). They have many regional touring exhibitions from the QLD State Gallery and the Gallery of Modern Art and also feature exhibitions from local artists. The gallery hosts workshops classes and art clubs in a studio that can be rented.

Beautiful building and staff/volunteers. The current botanical illustration exhibit is amazing and well worth seeing.

Thoroughly enjoyed the many and varied beautiful paintings of the Kerrie Atkins exhibition.

Really wonderful volunteers and on top of that, knowledgeable and passionate staff. The new Gallery Shop is also outstanding!

Clean, neat, spacious, attractive restoration of a period structure and Gympie icon. Uncluttered artwork display.
