Maldini's By The River

Very much enjoyed our first time here. Customer service was excellent: my husband has a muscle disability and found the chairs outside a little uncomfortable for him (I found them very comfy) so the gentleman brought a comfy chair from inside the restaurant which meant he could sit with comfort. There is nothing wrong with the outdoor seating but it just did not suit my husband’s condition. With this chair we were able to sit and enjoy the evening. And we were very grateful for the gesture. It was very pleasant eating our dinner outside and the food was so delicious.

I won tickets to the Bon Jovi Show & 4 course dinner... Had never been to this restaurant before, but what a brilliant restaurant is is!
Staff were very friendly, fast service, and the food was amazing! The garlic pizza was soft and garlic not too over powering, the prawn skewers & pork belly were delicious, the beef cheeks melted in your mouth and full of flavour & the tirimisu was delicious! We will definitely be back!

Nice place for a feed.
Good portion sizes and nice cocktails.
Also the staff are lovely.

Warm and friendly atmosphere! Quick and attentive service. The Porchetta was divine, crispy crackling, apple sauce with roast potatoes to break my nocarb diet. Nearly orders a second one! Marinara Linguine the best anywhere!

What a great experience we had. Food and customer service was well above par. I had the Al Olio w/ prawns (prawns were huge!) and my wife had the Beef Cheeks. Welcoming and clean. Will be back!

Our group of four visited Maldini’s for the first time last night…Saturday 3rd February.
The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We enjoyed two starters, three different mains, and two different desserts along with beers, coffees and other beverages…all of which were delectable.

Of particular note were the beef cheeks which virtually fell onto my fork and almost melted in my mouth; and the Tiramisu which was the best I have ever eaten, and which, if possible I would give ten stars!

The service was excellent…the staff was friendly and efficient, and were attentive while not being intrusive.

We sat outside which was very pleasant; there was more than ample room between table settings which allowed us to relax and chat quietly throughout our meal.

All in our group had a very pleasant evening and would highly recommend Maldini’s by the River for their exceptional service and delicious food.

Maldini’s is such a great local find!
You can really taste the care and authenticity of their dishes. I had the gnocchi which was so silky and soft- there was no denying it was house made.

The service is also great and the number of regular customers whose names are know by Maldini’s staff is testament to their quality service.

Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a hearty Italian lunch or dinner. Chances are, you’ll end up becoming a regular too 😂

I've been to Maldini's a few times to catchup with friends and family or for a lunch meeting. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is laid back and the staff are friendly. Another bonus is there's ample parking at the back and easy access into the venue if you have friends or family members with mobility issues.

Maldini’s is one of our favourite local restaurants and definitely our favourite Italian. It does not matter whether we come without a booking on a busy night or during lunch time, we always receive a great, prompt and friendly service and exceptional food without a hefty price tag. The food is outstanding, it looks and tastes wonderful as well as generous on portions. I personally want to thank Suze that rounded up the crew to sing a happy birthday song and organising a treat for my hubby 🙂

We had a great family catch up at Maldini's - everyone enjoyed their lunches, which is amazing for a large group.

Booking online was easy and very convenient!

We had the garlic bread and bruschetta pizza to share; mains were the Ribs special, Scotch fillet med-rare, Orecchiette, Linguini Marinara, Veal Masala .. and a couple of burgers :)

The service and atmosphere were fantastic - Thank you to the team for a lovely lunch get together!

I love a restaurant that provides you with spoons and bread to mop up the delicious sauce. Or just skip to dessert and order an amazing banana pizza.
Really friendly staff and great location just alongside the river.

We always enjoy our experience at Maldini's. The staff are lovely, the food is great, and the service is very fast. An added bonus, they are one of the few places we go where our youngest gets her meal first!
We will definitely be back.

From the moment we walked in the aromas told us we were in for a treat. The service was fantastic with just the right amount of attention giving us time to get through each meal before moving on to the next. The food was well presented and tasted just as great as the aromas had indicated.

Great restaurant, Old fashioned qualities, the owner is very friendly and welcoming, he checks in with everyone, has a chat and friendly banter. You rarely see this these days. It's so good to see these values are still around.
I had the chicken, which was good. However, the potatoes were the best I ever had and worth trying.
I was there with a small group. There were large groups that didn't overpower with noise. Inside and outside dining areas.

It's worth a visit.

My son’s 18th birthday family dinner, thank you Sandra for all your help with my booking, dietary needs met with no fuss. Everything was ‘perfect’, service - exceptional, food so good, atmosphere of a happy crowd. Maldinis you do it best ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Food was great. Our immediate server was good however I did feel we had to wait a little bit for service. Was also a little frustrating that we couldn't get the espresso martinis due to running out of ingredients but hey, first world problems. The pappadelle was fantastic as was the gnocci. Will be back.

Wow!! My wife and I are truly impressed!
From the moment we were welcomed at the door, we knew we made the correct decision. We had planned to have a “snack” after walking the bridge to bridge, however what transpired was so much more.

The atmosphere hints at quality from the uniformly dressed staff, modern decor and open kitchen/bar. The vibe from all staff was warm and hospitable. The aroma from the open kitchen and wood fire pizza oven was a delight!

Menus are exactly as we had expected from this type of restaurant, uncluttered with a blend of Nona’s staples to more sophisticated and modern dishes.
We. Were. Not. Disappointed!
Zucchini flowers were perfect, beef cheek could be eaten without a knife it was so tender, scotch fillet was plated perfectly with an amazingly earthy and rich sauce, pana cotta was light and creamy with perfect consistency and the homemade limoncello on ice left us warm and merry.

What a great night we had celebrating my wife’s birthday at Maldini’s. Dave and his team went out of their way to make it special. The food was delicious and generous servings accompanied by great service. Thank you all!
