From start to finish Avery were exceptional, including: attention to detail; a large amount of general and timely communication to appease my own research needs and to assist with my selection of the final products; Chris (the owner) was on-site for the installation and is one of the most meticulous installers I've ever had the privilege to do business with. There is no other installer in the Blue Mountains that I would recommend over Avery. I'm a very happy customer.

Absolutely flawless experience. Rhys gave great advice on the system configuration and Ben, Jake, Harry, and Bryce were courteous, polite, on time, and super efficient. They were finished by 2:30pm, and my system started pumping out more juice than a pharmacist working on Lance Armstrong.

From the street, the panels look so sexy that Harvey Weinstein asked them to come back to his hotel room to talk about a movie role. I went with the recommended REA panels and have not had cause to regret it.

On sunny days (given that I run the air con at night so that gets factored in from midnight) I'm running at about 30% grid dependance over the course of 24 hours. That's a pretty sweet deal, given that I'm also exporting excess to the grid during the day (although the energy companies' meagre feed-in rate is one fifth of what they charge for consumption).

No wonder they won the Local Business Award for Best Trade. Top stuff, boys!

The team at Avery Solar were fantastic! Highly professional and great communication. Clean and considerate team whilst installing, and great after sales service. Avery Solar were the big 3, Professional, Reliable, Courteous. From the very start they kept appointments and took the time to clearly explain all aspects of their work. The tradesmen who attended were all polite and friendly and Jake, the site supervisor, took time to explain to me exactly what was going on and what work they would be undertaking. When people are making changes to your most important asset, your home, you want to deal with people you can trust, and Avery is certainly a solar installer you can trust.

It seems that with all tradesmen, the punishments are early arrival, radios and bits and pieces left behind. But your guys were better than most. The radio was turned down after my request to turn it off - that was ok. The bits and pieces left behind were only on the roof and found by the gutter cleaning man the next day. No real problem. Early arrival nearly killed me and I’m still recovering - no joke.

As for the manners of your guys, they were excellent. Jake was professional and pleasant and easy on the eye. The shortest of the four, whose name I have regretfully forgotten, was the sweetest of gentlemen, in the truest sense of the word. I had less time with the other two but they were good too.

My impression of their workmanship is first class. And despite a very fragile roof, the damage was minimal.

Avery Solar and Electrical installed our solar system earlier this year. From the moment we first reached out to them for a quote, through to the install and beyond they have been amazing. Always there to answer any questions we had, kept us updated on the entire process, turned up when they said, and did an amazing job. Very friendly, approachable and professional company. We were looking at a solar and battery system. As it is a big financial investment, I needed detailed information and assistance. Of the 4 companies I contacted, Avery was the only one that was willing to quote with a site visit, which I expected was fundamental. The other companies didn't even come out, just quoted based on satellite/GIS data. I didn't feel this was sufficient, compared to Rhys coming out and scoping out the house and surrounds, and providing a detailed explanation of everything I asked. Not only that, he was happy to rework the quote several times to explore all options. He was also super responsive in addressing any questions I had. None of the others came close to this standard. The install itself was smooth and the workers polite and efficient and communicated well. Chris himself also ensured everything was completed to the highest standard. Would recommend Avery without hesitation.

Great team, great service.

Very professional from start to finish. Consultation during the sales phase was very good. The guys were diligent on the installation day. All the team were on-time, friendly and courteous.
Installation day was hot, hot weather and they remained focused showing attention to detail from positioning the arrays right through to clean-up.

We contacted Chris from Avery to install a new 7.8kw system on a brand new alfresco awning that we had rated for solar panels in the lower blue mountains. I’d already read a stack of his reviews and supporting local business is a major factor in a decision making process.

To give some context. Avery was one of three companies we contacted all at the same time. The first company a major in the region (who people rave about) came out and quoted for our project. Firstly they had very poor knowledge on planning regulations, construction on the awning (I had to show them the specs), incorrect information and everything was simply too hard. Not a great start after hearing rave reviews. Price point was similar to Avery.

The second company also had fantastic reviews. But really stuffed us around and I sent a pretty comprehensive RFQ. Told them not to bother.

Chris from Avery was naturally our third quote. Really prompt response, came out on site (most companies can’t be bothered and do desktops). Gave us really honest and knowledgeable advice on what our options were. From both a solar and battery perspective. Pricing competitive and most importantly local and really honest operator.
He responded to any of our questions really promptly and on my request did a quick check measure the next day once the roof was on.

Gave us a time period for install that was faster than expected. Boys on-site on time, super friendly, respectful, highly professional and understood my husband was also an electrician so took the extra mile to check where he wanted the conduits run. Next day, Chris called and explained everything. Sorted smart meter install that will be occurring soon.

Overall, we can’t rate Avery more highly as a company to deal with. We are highly confident that if there are any hiccups or questions along the way, Chris will promptly deal with (but I’m doubting there will be).
