We went there about a year ago before the change of ownership and were quite disappointed. Food quality was not there at all and service was average.
We decided to go back knowing that it had new owner and chef . We had the lunch special and we were very impressed. The food is amazing and fresh, the inside decoration is absolutely stunning, service is on top of everything. We are so happy that we have a quality food restaurant in gympie. Very tasty and most importantly fresh not frozen food. We ll come back for sure. Well done 👏 ✔ 👍
Thank you for opening such a nice restaurant. No need to drive all the way down on the coast.

This place...is something else. It's like a culinary oasis in a desert of tired old pub food.
Also, it's situated in one of the most charming historical buildings in this part of the great state of Queensland, Australia.
Surprisingly it's not in Brisbane or Gold Coast, nor the Sunshine Coast or Noosa; it's comfortably located in the middle of sleepy Gympie, the former gold mining mecca of the state two hours north of the capital.
The pleasure began for us when we pulled up in front of this beautifully preserved and presented mansion which dates back to the beginning of the last century. In 1901 gold mine manager David Menzies commissioned its construction as a family home fitting for a man of his societal and business stature.
Since then its chequered history included being turned into a maternity hospital and private surgery - complete with rumoured goings-on and mysterious happenings worthy of an Agatha Christie drama - as well as various iterations as an eatery. Chef Paul Jones and his lovely wife Kim, who bought the house in 1996, recently moved back in to oversee the venue being reborn, redecorated and revitalised into the gem it is today.
Last week we were amongst the first enthusiasts to experience what is sure to become a local magnet for discerning foodies. From the spotless table linen to the carefully crafted decor, an ambience has been created to perfectly compliment the amazing food. Simple in concept, the dishes are carefully chosen in terms of seasonal availability, familiarity to most customers, generous in proportion, and attention to taste and enjoyment rather than artistic affectation and little else.
Our pan fried snapper with prawns, potato and cauliflour cream, broccolini and seafood bisque was as good as anything I've eaten in restaurants from London and Berne to New York and Cape Town. The creme brulee, pistachio praline and poached quince rounded off a perfect meal.
Chef Paul Jones is a minimalist where it counts. There were only seven mains dishes to choose from, which tells me we're dealing with a kitchen where quality takes precedence over mind-boggling choice. We're certainly going to be back.
Oh yes, an additional highlight of the evening: There wasn't a tired looking potato chip in sight or on offer, nor soppy boiled frozen veggies gone cold - and for that my heart sang!

We were a social group of 12 and I only heard great things said about everyone meals. The steaks were all cooked as requested and my seafood linguine was seriously the best I've ever eaten and my pear tart desert looked beautiful and tasted delicious.

Everything was lovely. We had the lunch special of a main and a glass of wine for $25 and the dessert for $10. The food was outstanding. We both had mac nut crusted barramundi. I had the banana and mango steamed pudding and my partner had the chocolate fingers. All was superb.

I wouldn’t have known about this were it not for Ina and Mark at Neureum Park and it was well worth the visit!
Beautiful historic house in heart of Gympie with great views from verandah.
Service and food was amazing!
Something a bit different and a bit special.
Thoroughly enjoyed my brunch and even was able to bring my small 4 legged friend to cool off in the breeze with us also.
Thank you Cindy for looking after us 😊

Restaurant was busy, but meals were delivered promptly and the steak and salmon were perfectly cooked, salad was fresh, vegetables were fresh and cooked nicely, not overdone. Meals were well presented, dessert looked divine. Staff were attentive and although busy managed to always have a smile on their face and were polite. A most enjoyable dining experience.

Great food with a varied and opulent menu. Good wine list although the single glass options are limited. Will definitely go again next time I'm in Gympie.

I visit here every few months. Without a doubt the best restaurant in the Gympie Region. The food is fabulous (I heard a lady on another table describing her Barramundi as amazing). I had calamari and arancini balls; both sensational. I haven't had a mediocre meal here; always fabulous. And the service is to match. The staff are just lovely. It won't be the cheapest meal in town but .... life is for living!!

Absolutely breathtaking table service, the waitress named Gemma is the best waitress I've ever had. They are very generous with their serving sizes and their cocktails are amazing!

Great anniversary venue
