This place is absolutely gem at the centre of the botanical garden.
We went for an event and spent a few hours there. ....that's all the time I have :).

Excellent place for relaxation and meditation 🧘‍♂ 😊.

The place is well maintained. Everything seems to be perfectly placed to give the aurora of calmness. A peaceful place to savour the time with varieties of plants and small trees.

I'm glad this one of the largest wall displays is in Sydney, and we can visit our ease.

Overall, this botanic garden is one of my favourite places during spring and summer.

It's hard to take photos of each section, but I have made some videos and taken photos of the Calyx and as well as The botanical garden.

Enjoy and find tine to visit for your inner soul. ✨
Ciao

One of my standards when I want to impress friends that visit Sydney. Embedded in the most beautiful botanical garden in the world the calyx always has a magnificent plan wall on display. It is immaculate and beautiful and then having a coffee and a cake afterwards enjoying the beautiful and light architecture of the calyx wind everybody over to agree that Sydney is stunning. :)

It was amazing with the leaf covered walls in a geometric pattern this time. There were beautiful orchids, and other tropical looking plants full of colour and vibrant glossy greens. Really worth seeing and enjoying, with entry via coin donation. It is also a great place to stop and have a pot of tea, a coffe, cool drink like a juice or an ice tea. A relaxing oasis, loved the thoughtful use of plants to create a special exhibition of colour and creativity.

We had an end of year Work function and celebrations. 300 staff turned up to what was an exceptional reception of soft music, dress up party fun, light food and gelato followed by dancing. What a fun time. Best wishes

It is one of the great exhibitions to visit in Royal Botanic Garden Sydney.

I am amazed with the wall with color patterned plants. Other plants/flower beds are also impressive. There are also few chairs around for visitors to sit down and enjoy the harmony of colored petals and leaves. It gives such a tranquil and pleasing feeling.

I cannot recommend enough for the place, must visit spots in Sydney.

A beautiful floral installation located in Sydney’s botanical gardens. Entry is by donation, which you can pay by cash or EFT, $5. We went on a Friday afternoon and there was no wait. I would say it’s worth if you like to see colorful flower installations as this is well planned and kept. Reminds me of the flower domes in gardens by the bay in Singapore, but on a much smaller scale of course.

What an amazing hidden gem! So many people said that they'd lived their whole lives around Sydney and had no idea this was here! Shop, cafe and conference rooms, perfect backdrop for weddings and functions in The Calyx, and there's other function rooms scattered around the grades as well. To top it off, there's knowledgeable staff around to guide you on your way, with so many crooks and crannies in which to while away the days. Definitely a 'must see' on everyone's list! Absolutely beautiful.

Today, we decided to have a morning stroll around Opera House and the nearby Botanic Gardens.

We came across the Calyx, and this place had a cafe, a shop, and a horticulture showroom where you can donate any small amount as the entrance fee.

We decided to have brunch at the Café, and we ordered the following:

1. Schnitzel and Avocado Sandwich side of fries 5/5

2. Vegan Burger with Beetroot side of Salad 4/5

I recommend trying out this place if you want to dine somewhere nice and quiet, also a good rest point for those walking around the area.

We attended the Astronomy at the Calyx event. It was magnificent!
On arrival we received a glass of wine each, and joined the astronomers on the lawn. They showed us close ups of the moon and various stars and constellations.
Then we attended a talk on astronomy and astrophysics, very interesting.
At the end we got another chance at looking through the telescopes and also had a short walk with a guide explaining to us how his aboriginal ancestors passed down their knowledge of the stars.
10/10 experience, would highly recommend everyone to do this!

Beautiful, tranquil place in the middle of the Royal Botanic Gardens. They offer a wheelchair free of use for those who need it to explore the gardens! Very disability-friendly.

A beautiful building with a lovely garden display.
There is a cafe which has a nice seating area that you can relax in.
The site is fully accessible to people with a disability.
You are asked to make a donation to enter.

This was one of the experiences at the Lightscape event at Vivid Sydney. This is a book a time and pay for experience to limit the number of people. An absolute amazing display of light set in the Botanical gardens accompanied by music. We enjoyed a calm warm evening in June. Food trucks along the way too.

Visited the nearby garden for an outdoor event and stumbled upon The Calyx!

A perfect venue spot that integrates the outdoor and the indoors. A really nice space for an art exhibition or private/corporate events

While we were there, there an art exhibition that captured our attention. Had a relaxed time there with some coffee and nibbles.

There’s ibis and some beautiful birds we saw while sitting outside with the little ones. A nice space for kids and adults alike. Very pram friendly!

Great place for families. Huge garden. This part inside. Garden is free. They do ask for donations which is well deserved.

This place is so pretty and relaxing. Definitely worth going! They take a good care of flowers and make this beautiful garden.

I’ll go there again and browse those flowers in different seasons!

Great place to visit, no matter the weather. Very pleasant staff who work there. The flower wall is breathtaking and the little fact posts dotted around are really helpful in building up your general knowledge of the natural world. Took my 1yr old here on the 1st November 2022 and he absoloutly loved it!

Donation to enter, so not mandatory to pay - I donated $5, but would of laid more. The coffee is really good too 😌

Beautiful display of plants. Can't remember her name but a volunteer came up to my mum and I and told us really interesting history about the native pine trees inside. This really made the visit worth it - it was interesting as a NZer but would also be great for Australians to visit and learn about. Cafe was also great, good coffee though would have been nice if the iced coffees did not come in plastic cups as we didn't get takeaway. 5⭐ for the glasshouse, 4⭐ for the cafe because of the plastic cup (both bad for the environment but also not as nice as a glass cup)

It is one of those places where once you visit, you can't stop revisting. It is actually a 360 degree experience.
Let me talk first about the interior that is executed in such a way that is inviting. The colours, the seats, the wallpaper, everything is so neat.
Then comes the service.. the team is so chill and welcoming.. they serve and give you their opinion which is really interesting..
Sitting outside is mesmerising with the green views all over and a touch of distinguished architecture... the water adds so much to the experience..
It is a place where you can meet for business or with friends.
I am definitely addicted 😄😊
