I came out from theatre not even 15min ago here getting a colonoscopy and a endoscopy
So camera in the butt and mouth
I noticed the bad reviews but honestly everyone here has been super nice. The doctor was slightly in a hurry but took time to talk to me and all the nurses have been absolutely fantastic and complimented my fashion so I can't really complain
So so far. Nothing's gone wrong and they've done a fantastic job

Hubby was on a long waiting list, but IDH managed to get him in when someone missed their appointment. Superb communication, welcoming friendly staff. H was very pleased with the professionalism and end result of his surgery. Top work, team! Such a boon to have 2hrs of free parking onsite too, as well as the 10 minute pickup/dropoff parks at the front door. Thank you so much, everyone!

We had a good experience with our daughter here. All the staff were kind and very helpful. From the nurses, dentist, anethetist, receptionist, everyone was kind and caring. If your child is coming here, I highly recommend them.

I had a procedure recently. I was very nervous but I was made feel at ease by the lovely nurses Mark Michelle and the young lady in recovery. Also Dr Omar and dr Joshua and reception staff. Thank you for looking after me. Very much appreciated. I would recommend Ipswich Day Hospital.

Husband had two cataracts removed today, and new lenses inserted at Ipswich Day Hospital. The staff were fantastic - from the initial contact to him being given the all clear to go home.
Excellent service, friendly and efficient staff, both in reception and the operating area.
Thank you for making the day go smoothly and looking after him so well. Would recommend Ipswich Day Hospital any day.

I would highly recommend the Ipswich Day Hospital for any upcoming procedure you may require. During my recent experience at the hospital I found the service from ALL the STAFF to be of the highest standard. I was well informed and very well cared for from the moment I walked in the door to when I left. Please give yourself a very big pat on the back, it is very well deserved - your exceptional dedication and service is amazing!!!!!!

My wife had a procedure today and was very happy with the facility. The staff, doctors and nursing staff were helpful, friendly and informative. She could not fault the facility at all and would highly recommend it.

Really bad experience, particularly for kids. Waiting room is in the middle of the building with zero windows which we had to sit for 2 hours.
Recovery room is a bunch of recliners stacked next to eachother, with kids screaming in them.. really not a great relaxing place for recovery. Only 1 parent allowed in and then shooed out pretty quickly. Anaethetist was good, nursing staff average, not the happiest for little kids who need nurturing.
No way I'd be going back here for any procedures. Paid $1500 to be here for this experience too...

Absolutely disgusting bedside manner while scared and worried. Had the worst experience. Having concerns about questions about what I needed to have done and having someone have the same thing done and it didn't end well and ended up back in hospital hence the concern when questioned I was yelled my chart placed hardly down and was told that he is the one doing it and if that wasn't good enough to go elsewhere

Absolutely discusting waiting area, the stench of its carpet, mould where the wall mounted sanitizer has leaked, the smell of vo.it and stale urine.
Not what would be expected at a private medical establishment.

Part 1: 3pm - Why tell people to be at an appointment at one time & then don’t begin admission for over 2 hours! Why pay hundreds of dollars to be stuffed around. Should have gone public would have been more efficient. Poor solo Triage Nurse so overworked.
Part 2: It is now 6.30pm “OVER 6 HOURS” since we first arrived & still not finished! Now my mother’s blood pressure is so high, she’s 86 & not good, and now my poor daughter is sick, hungry & has a headache from waiting so long to be able to go home and eat ! Seriously this place could not organise a good riot! You need to advise people of possibly waiting anywhere up to “3-4” hours. WARN PEOPLE for hell’s sake! Your staff may not care but some of us have things to do! and also warn about how the basic admitting procedures go wrong, with no less than 4 delays from hiccups they should have read from all the pre-admission documents supplied weeks ago! Rushed urgent phone calls needing to be made! O.M.G. ! So much more to say also about 2 of the staff.

What a joke, 1 yr 9 mths later I received a bill for $115.00 as they say they underestimated the cost of surgery. Won't be going back there as I class that as pretty incompetent....

Not related to say surgery directly but I would like to make a strongly worded complaint about a particular doctor at Ipswich hospital itself DOCTOR L Baartzi believe, decided himself that my "Plan apon discharge was "to stop drinking alcohol" mind you I was admitted with Tachycardia and hypertension after I'd specifically explained that my symptoms were unrelated to alcohol consumption and more towards family history as the diagnosis and treatment beyond discharge was determined by pure personal feelings alone whoever is in-charge of Ipswich Hospital I would like to make a strongly worded complaint about the doctor in question misleading other specialists in deciding within Himself that I was effected by Alcohol consumption and not what the actual cause was to be , sincerely M.B
