Off the street, hidden away in the basement is a warm bar ready to shake you up with some magical cocktails and delicious bites. The staff are friendly and the drinks are plenty. You will have a wonderful time here with the variety of drinks available and the nice selection of food. Cocktails are a choice you want to try several of.

Hidden bar located near Wynyard. The entrance of the bar is right in front of Mejico. You have to go through a narrow hallway (into the basement). Knock on the pineapple and they will open the door! The staff and drinks here were great. Also loved their truffle popcorn!

Comfortable vibe, not too noisy. Staffs are patient and friendly.
Recommend Rumble In The Jungle and Sweet Potato Fries.

What a hidden gem. 😜 we stopped for a last minute late night drink. The staff were amazing. Seated straight away, drinks ordered and brought to the table. Atmosphere is fantastic. See you again soon. We will be back.

From the moment I walked down the stairs, through a candle-lit hallway and ended up at a big metal door with a pineapple door knocker, I knew it was going to be a good night. The service was excellent; our server was so kind and thoughtful. Drinks came out quick and food was perfectly spaced out. All the cocktails were so interesting and very tasty. My personal favourite was Chloe Amour. We ordered five different dishes and between two people, it was the perfect amount especially as they were small bites. Highly recommend the sweet potato fries, the mac and cheese croquettes and the spice-rubbed chicken wings which come with a Jack Daniel’s BBQ Sauce (I mean, cmon). No dessert but we got treated to dessert shots which were fantastic and a lovely birthday surprise. The environment is fantastic; music was a perfect volume for talking to one another, and the decor was fun, fresh, and unique. All around a phenomenal evening. Highly highly recommend a visit to Door Knock!

Went here on a whim after seeing it on Google Maps! Super cute concept, the atmosphere was immaculate, and the venue design was stunning. We just came to get drinks, but the staff were super friendly and helpful. My girl got the 'Sunny Leone', and the bartender was kind enough to create an off-menu drink for me! It was perfect. Definitely would come here again to try the food and other drinks~

Such a nice surprise for this bar. It does look dodgy when you go down the stairs and wonder where it goes. But once you open the door, you are transported in a new environment which is amazing! The bar is very nice with dimmed light and cool set up. We had 2 signature cocktails and both were really good. The staff is also very friendly and nice! Definitely worth a detour.

Down the steps, guide your way through a candle lit corridor, knock three times with the golden pineapple on the red door, wait one moment and enter.. the experience leading into the bar warrants a visit. Hidden from the hustle and bustle, (so well hidden we nearly missed the entry) this cocktail wine bar down under has a great vibe with drinks to match. I had the Rumble in the Jungle, sweet and refreshing. Hanging ropes, used as vertical room dividers, with natural aesthetics and modern furnishes this a great place to include in your night out.

This place is much fun. It's hidden away on Pitt Street and once you've walked all the way down the dark corridor you are surprised and delighted to see such a cosy little space with a great vibe. Good food and great bar service. The complimentary truffle popcorn for the table is a hit!

HOW IS THIS PLACE REAL!! OMG I’m from Melb and I LOVE this bar, so damn cosy, I actually really like that there’s no reception downstairs since everyone is so digital now.

But from the front of house greeting, to being seated, to the recommendations, the drinks, the ADORABLE shot glasses, the entire concept I just adore! Complimentary popcorn was such a hospitable touch, the team at door knock cannot be faulted 10/10

Cool place that you could miss if you blink. Bit of a hike downstairs but it is worth the adventure. Really cool vibe inside and the waitstaff deserve high praise for their attentiveness. It's busy but not so loud you can't hear your table. Cocktails were nice too!

Amazing bar with fantastic atmosphere and unique, delicious cocktails. It is well worth finding this hidden gem. The staff were wonderful and although I didn't eat the food, what I saw looked fantastic. Had a great time!

Great bar located in the basement of a Pitt St office block. We went for drinks before going out to dinner. The cocktails were delicious catering to all tastes. Their bowl of popcorn served with the drinks was moorish. Staff were friendly and helpful if you’re struggling to decide which cocktail to try.

Hidden bar. Knock on the door three times to enter. Service was friendly. Drinks were yummy. Food menu actually looked legit but was generally too full (coming from dinner) to order too much. Will be back to try more things from the menu.

If you're after a bar/restaurant that's a little different, you have to add this to your list. Love the basement underground feel of the location and decor, a great place for nibble and drinks with friends or an intimate romantic feed with your other half.

Staff seems friendly and they're happy to make any cocktail of your choice if it's not on the menu. You have to try their complimentary popcorn, so good!

Hidden bar full of character and ambiance.
You could easily walk past and not know. Follow the dark entrance underground off Pitt St and knock on the door 3 times. As the door opens and you are welcomed in you immediately relax and settle in. Bartenders do a good job on cocktails and a decent wine list. Sit, drink and enjoy an environment quite enough for a conversation but still with a good vibe.
