Monopole

I went to this restaurant last night and wow it was incredible!! We got the set menu which is $100 per person however we swapped out the seafood and the chefs gave us incredibly great options instead. The wagu beef pastrami was the best food I’ve tasted. It just fell off the skewer and melted in your mouth, I would come back for that alone. The black Angus rump and the white chocolate strawberry Crème Fraiche Ice cream was also a favourite. I’m not usually a dessert person but I could eat that any day.
The service was definitely 5 star as well, our waiter was extremely polite and helpful.
The restaurant itself is also beautifully decorated and sets a great tone for dinner.
Would highly recommend this place, it’s located opposite Ryan’s bar not too far from Wynyard so it’s pretty easy to get to.

Monopole is the perfect place to meet up with friends after work. We just love the happy hour menu and French champagne. The service is consistently excellent and we never feel rushed. Our favourite is the Sydney rock oysters and chicken liver parfait. Happy hour is available Wednesday to Friday from 4-5pm 👍

We had a fantastic dinner of shared plates. Everything we ordered was delicious. Standouts were the snapper, scallops, Comte custard on fried sourdough and the strawberry dessert which was so well balanced.
Great service with the dishes coming out at a great pace.
Would recommend to anyone in this part of the city.

Awesome wine bar, dessert bar, snack bar. Amazing range of wines from all over the world, not cheap, but a lovely place to relax and snack out late at night in Sydney. Better than Rockpool!! Excellent service, really helpful with recommendations of food and wine. Gotta go & give it a try.

Came here pre theatre and was looked after very well! All the food was amazing and the wine list was very well thought out! Had a great time and thanks for the great hospitality.

Great food and atmosphere. Close to Australian square where you can get a drink afterwards. Awesome place for catch-ups and dates. The starters are delicious and the steak is amazing. Will def come back again.

Came here after seeing they have kept their two hats and wanted to see what the fuss was about. We got the tasting menu and the wine pairing. Which were so reasonably price considering their reputation and we were not disappointed! Highlights were the comte custard and the quail, but could not fault anything. All the staff were very friendly and professional, and the pairings were very well matched, with great explanations on what we were drinking. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back!

Service was average but the foods were fantastic. When I visited there, at that time, I was on a diet so I didn't consume any dessert but I ended up ordering dessert since all the food was exceptional and I'm glad that I ordered desserts. They were good too. Bit too crowded but really worth to try. Will definitely come back.

Dined here on a Monday night with a friend. Efficient service and the meals came out promptly. Lovely romantic dim lit atmosphere. The pastrami meat was incredible thinly sliced. All other courses included the duck breast and king fish were absolutely devine. Absolutely beautiful food and lovely experience.

Came here for a weekday lunch, the restaurant is sunny and has a cheerful atmosphere in the middle of CBD, I really like this new version of Monopole compared to the old one. Service was casual and friendly yet on point, nothing to fault. Food was really enjoyable, particularly loved the tiger prawn sandwich and white chocolate brûlée.

Professional service, food came quickly, good quality ingredients and was nicely executed. Spatchcock and duck breast were really good. Tried all 3 desserts and loved the bergamot & lemon curd one. Nice place for a date night to kick off aperitif drinks and kick on to dinner.

Had a fantastic dinner and dining experience here the meals are share plates and are just perfect. The ingredients are top quality, the mood lighting is great and the open kitchen adds to the great atmosphere. As you can see by the empty plate pic we left nothing to return to the kitchen. Huge wine selection as well for the connoisseur.

The customer service is really amazing, every staff are really understand what food they were serving.
The food also great, especially the Duck Breast.

Outstanding degustation course by chef Kyle and hospitality team, paired with the wine menu by the infamous, Zoe! Thank you so much for spoiling us. We had a fabulous dinner balanced with the most delectable wines. From the Tiger Prawn Sandwich to the beautiful Lamb Rump we were in absolute heaven! Not to mention, you have a way to make us feel at home with your warm welcome and fun stories throughout our dinner. We love the fine touches of Monopole and Zoe's incredible Somm wine expertise. Thank you once again for all of your hard work!

Met up here with some friends for happy hour and stayed for dinner. Excellent location in CBD of Sydney, really helpful and friendly staff and the food & drinks were superb! Excellent wine selection and cocktail list. Highly recommended for either a drink at happy hour or for dinner. Make sure you get reservations in advance if you are planning for dinner, seats are limited and fill up quickly, easy to reserve seating online through their website.

One of the better dining experiences with friendly staff who were attentive and provided efficient customer service. Tried almost every dish on the menu and was not disappointment. The best were Bonito, Cavalo Nero and the Spatchcock was cooked well & tender. Notable mentions: Olasagasti Anchovy Toast & Beef Tongue Toast. Fave out of the 3 desserts was the Bergamot. Vibe: Dark and cosy inside.

Love the food, was so good. Highlight was the beef cheek & brussel sprouts. I almost told them I don’t eat brussel sprouts, but glad I didn’t. It was so tasty. Monopole is great for its value & food was delicious.

Very nice wine bar. Even wine by glass selection was exceptional. Food was outstanding. Try the pasta (addon truffle, it's worth it). Intimate vibe, we sat by the kitchen.

Love the vibes at monopole as well as the food. A great selection and would hesitate to recommend.
