Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel at Circular Quay

I stayed here for a week January/February 2024. The staff was always pleasant, professional and accommodating. The room was cleaned daily and checked by a manager. I also received a complimentary basket of fruit - not sure if it was for my titanium status or birthday. I also received the expected complimentary upgrade.

The lounge has a nice assortment for breakfast and dinner but basically empty for the afternoon hours.

The location is top notch, about a block away from the train, ferry, light rail and harbor. The hotel is well maintained and the rooms are decent. However, the TV signal is intermittent and I missed the end of Jeopardy:(

On our recent trip to Sydney, we stayed at the Hyatt Regency (Darling Harbour), Sheraton on Hyde Park, and finally, the Marriott Circular Quay. We must highlight the exceptional experience we had at the Marriott's club lounge. Their operating hours (5-8pm) were reasonable, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The food preparation was not impressive in presentation but in freshness, with timely replenishments. Seating was always available without too much difficulties . Zenith and her team stood out for their genuine hospitality, unlike the pretentious service we encountered elsewhere, where we were directed to a robotic response that failed to resolve our issues. We eagerly anticipate returning on our next visit to Sydney!

Super Comfy room and bed, very clean bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. We dropped our bag at 8:30am then walked around Circular Quay. So many nice place around. Staff gave us a call to let us know when our room is ready.

Awesome Opera House view from 23rd floor.

We didn't have problem with the elevator just ~5mins waited time. (Were using around 3pm 9pm 11pm and 10am)

Wonderful stay at this Marriott Hotel. The location was perfect…walking distance to many sites and very close to the Opera House. The Executive Lounge had great breakfast and happy hour spreads. And all the staff at the lounge were very helpful and efficient, especially Nancy. She always went above and beyond in the service she provided. I look forward to staying again at this hotel.

Great location and service. My little daughter nearly choked on a sweet, and the staff were very supportive and highly reactive at the reception. The various staff on the concierge desk were also very helpful and friendly. Big thank you for making our trip to Sydney an amazing experience.

We walked here off of a cruise ship. This property is just blocks from the cruise terminal. The lobby, to me, is a little small for the size of the property, but we checked in without an issue. As we waited, another member of our group discussed some things with the Concierge, who was VERY helpful with not just places in the immediate area, but in the city, as well. The only wrinkle was the elevators. One is blocked off, and from my personal observation, another was out. 3 lifts were left, and they were VERY busy. Signs were up telling guests to prepare, so that was something, but we never observed work on the out-of-service lifts.

When we made it to our room, we were pleased. The shower was exceptional (especially after being on a cruise ship for 18 days). The room had plenty of room and storage. Internet worked well for streaming on the TV (easy to set up on your device).

We purchased lounge access, so we made our way there to look around. Beer, liquor, and wine are complimentary (but don't be stupid), the food was laid out nicely with an incredible selection, and staff made sure to clean up very quickly when a dish was dirty. Staff was also helpful with general questions about the property and there is also a Mac and PC connected to a printer in the corner. VERY nice area down here!

Checkout was again easy, we were out in no time, cabs are typically available as they queue close to the entrance. We opted for an Uber to the airport and they were there quick quickly.

This property is close to plenty of shopping and food choices.

This is an incredible property for cruisers, first time visitors to Sydney, or even for business meetings. The Concierge desk is among the best I've ever used, and the staff is amazing. Finish the elevator maintenance, and I wouldn't have a thing to complain about!

Amazing location, view and service superb. Great breakfast. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Be aware, hotel is very busy and it takes time to check in. It will take time to get ur room ready, we waited for 7 hours unfortunately.

We recently had a nine night stay using only Bon Voyage points. Soon after arrival we knew we made the right choice. We arrived at 9 am after a red eye flight. Although a room was not available, we were given keys to an early arrival suite. We were able to take showers and change clothes, then stored our luggage at reception.
The room was great, with a view of the Opera House and harbor. The Executive Lounge had great breakfast choices and variety every day. The evening food and drink options were always good and served as our dinner 8 of 9 nights.
The location was amazing, only a five minute walk to the Circular Quay and the ferries, trains, trams and buses. We went to a performance at the Sydney Opera House which was less than a 15 minute walk away.
The Concierge staff gave excellent suggestions and was always helpful.

Best location for walking from circular quay to Haymarket. Also, streetcar right nearby. Downside is ongoing construction across the street. Can be somewhat difficult for car services because of congestion. You're paying for location.

Excellent location for visiting the city, within walking distance of all the major things you'd want to see as a tourist, but also not far from the business district as well. The hotel itself is also very well done, with nice touches that you'd expect from a high quality establishment, although the rooms aren't particularly big. I appreciated the executive lounge, which isn't quite as nice as those found in Asia, but still offered good service and a decent breakfast.

This hotel and its staff was impeccable! Daniel at the front desk was incredibly friendly and had a wealth of knowledge to share about where to visit and what to see. Daniel was a great first impression - Marriott is lucky to have him. The executive lounge was also impressive - a very large spread for breakfast and dinner. I highly recommend.

It was a pleasant experience and wonderful stay at Marriot Sydney. Very supportive front staff, prompt in resolving the issues. Rooms and all other areas were immaculate.

The only thing I am looking forward is to introduce more cook and serve vegan options, which surprisingly available in Gold Coast.

Convenient location. Its near to the harbor and the shopping district. The rooms are huge and comfortable and the air conditioning unit is one the best.

The common Toilet needs constant cleaning, its a bit dirty for a Marriott hotel

Great Christmas visit with the family. The staff had ice cream cones in the lobby each night. Location was perfect for a 3 day visit to Sydney. Easy walking to the major sightseeing areas. Room was clean and comfortable, wifi was strong and gym was excellent with all equipment needed.

Outstanding. Friendly and helpful , the staff made this a very welcoming and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended. Thanks for making our Swift holiday so memorable.

Lovely stay here. Although we barely interacted with the staff, rhe room was very clean and tidy. Lobby was grandious and the executive lounge was luxurious with great morning breakfast. The people are your typical city folk, not very welcoming but thats the city for you. Overall good experience, no complaints apart from the people, but it is not the hotel’s fault.

The elevators were having a lot of problems. They have 4 but one of them was under repair. They were very spotty. Once the door didn't open in the lobby and I got taken back up to higher floors. A copassenger said they have had these problems since 2018. The staff was very kind. They proactively upgraded me to a higher level room.

Lovely hotel with very friendly helpful staff. Great breakfast. They also have a room which we utilised after checking out as we had an evening flight home.

Nice hotel in a very good place into the Sidney best area with access to anywhere. Service was very good and the breakfast is awesome! Everyone was so nice and respectful! The only problem is the elevator, don't know why but always take to long.

Chain all around the world . I decided to go for Marriott at Circular Quay after watching YouTube videos on the location of the hotel which is near to light rail , ez mart , not to mention it’s walking distance to opera house and you can certainly
Walk to QVB , retail malls. Or u could choose to take the light rail which is just at your door step .

All staff that I have encountered , the reception , the cafe , the luggage , transport staff , they were all friendly and helpful. Special mention to a Filipino front desk female and bickky ! I asked Bickky where are the must go places , he took about a map and do the trip mapping for me . I would definitely recommend this hotel ! And the Filipino front desk female
Whom took her time and suggest me to check out paddy market . The staff are all really nice . No complain on the rooms either . Room service were great and consistant , despite its Xmas , they were fast in delivering my request for water / towel. And check out the Xmas chocolate by Marriott! Thank u !
