Fredo Pies

Alway Happy with Food on offer as I travel the highway on a regular basis although today it is a review of Freddy Pies Staff at Kempsey South Service Center location.

The young Lady who served me today 5.45pm Sat 24/2/24 was so pleasant, happy, respectful, helpful, smiling of any staff I have ever come across anywhere in 48yrs. Thank you so much for being so nice ….

Delicious pies, all homemade, and scrummy sausage rolls that taste just like they came out of your kitchen.

Wow, what a find. A small business doing it right. Just off the highway and well worth the short trip. There is a really nice outdoor seating area, no crowds, and clean bathrooms. If we're ever up this way again, then we'll be back for sure. It's so much better than commercial fuel stops as the relaxed feel is just as refreshing as the break. 10/10

What a gem this is. Those familiar with the North Coast Route will be well familiar with Fredo’s. For those that aren’t, you’re in for a treat.

A must stop on the drive with a delicious selection of pies. They won’t have them all in stock, but try out a different flavour. They’re delicious with a beautiful pastry. I enjoyed the coconut spiced beef and my wife the beef burgundy followed by a perfect custard tart.

Don’t be shy when ordering- you won’t be disappointed!

Best sausage rolls, pretty good pies. Milkshake was tops! Give Maccas and co a miss and stop here instead, it's only a few clicks off the highway and well worth it.

Best pie I've ever had! Wasn't much of a detour either. Add this stop to your road trip for sure!

the traditional aussie meat pie had me feeling the proudest ive ever felt about being an aussie. for my little treat, i had a custard tart and it was so delicious. this whole meal was a 11/10 and i HIGHLY recommend this place

Lovely pies, and great paninis/toasties as well. Definitely worth coming off the highway for a rest and meal here.

Absolutely Goated with the sauce, incredibly flakey pastry and delicious gravy and meat filled inside, beef and mushroom and the Croc pie are the winners, whenever I’m passing through from the Gold Coast to Sydney it’s an absolute MUST STOP!

The famous Fredo Pies is amazing. Great tasting pies and sausage rolls. The food temperature was perfect - Unlike some of the extremely hot pies that I’ve bought in Sydney! These pies are unique. Great tasting coffees and hot chocolates here. Fast and efficient service. Good prices. If you’re on the main bypass highway I highly recommend you take the Kempsey turnoff and drop into Fredo Pies for a break. Plenty of inside and outside seats and tables here - outdoor seating is protected by shade. Male and female toilets are located inside the building. Plenty of on street parking. We love this place. This pie shop has made Fredrickton famous around the state.

The bacon and egg roll is a MUST!!! Pies are yummy though too small and expensive. Love the place.

A higher price pie but better meat value in them ,lovely pie crusts

Literally the best ice cream i have ever had, and for halph the price of any other shop. Customer service is 10/10. And best croc pies ovcourse.

I had the sausage roll, the best sausage roll I've ever had. Pastry was flaky and beautiful.
Husband had the crocodile pie, he enjoyed it very much. It looked creamy so I was too scared to try it incase I got a dairy attack for the drive home 😅
The toilet was so clean and I'm so glad we stopped here for a break, it was nice to relax on their deck and eat delicious pastry.
Too bad, it's so far away from home. Can't wait to come back!

Great place to stop and reenergize for our trek home. They have a different assortment of pies from the normal plain, pepper steak, steak and kidney, bacon and cheese to the unusual crocodile and kangaroo!
