I drove over an hour just to dine here. One of my favourite restaurants. The food is always superb and beautifully presented. The outlook from the deck is so peaceful and even my dog was welcome. The staff are friendly, accommodating and very efficient. Always worth the drive

A fantastic restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and stunning views of the Macleay River. Staff are attentive, friendly and professional. Serving up scrumptious fresh food that was well presented and unique. Great wine and cocktail selection to make the lunch even more special!

Holidaying on the mid north coast for a few days we couldn’t resist having a meal at The Garden Bar & Kitchen. Topping off a lovely day we had superb food and drinks on the open deck. Staff are wonderful, attentive and knowledgeable and the atmosphere is relaxed with lovely gardens. Our little dog Cooper was also welcomed and got lots of pats from patrons entering the establishment. Easy parking. We certainly will be recommending.

I had such an amazing night thanks to Tom and his team. I celebrate my engagement party here and it couldn't have gone any smoother. Everyone loved the food with it being one of the highlights of our night, along with the attentive service. Overall I would recommend to anyone looking for a venue space or delicious food 😋

What a find! Road trip to Sydney and we discovered this gem! Delicious food, friendly service, lovely view of the water and a perfect stop along the way, easy to get on and off the highway! We highly recommend the pork belly bites, pesto pasta and surf and turf! Yum!

2023 WEDDING!

We cannot thank Meg, Tom & ALL of the staff at Garden Bar for making our wedding day the absolute BEST day ever.

From our very first enquiry, they were incredibly helpful & continued to make the entire process of organising our day a breeze. In the lead up, they continued to be beyond amazing in every possible way - they were always available to help with anything we needed & they were present our entire day to ensure everything ran smoothly so that we could just enjoy every minute.

Our guests had endless compliments regarding the venue itself, the beautiful setup in collaboration with our other vendors, the convenience of having our ceremony & reception all in one location, the amazing food & beverages, the wonderful service from staff & just how much fun they had with the incredible vibe of the whole day.

People always seem to say that wedding planning is a nightmare - this was not the case for us. We had SOOOO much fun j if we could do it all over again, we would book Garden Bar in an instant! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the venue to anyone planning their wedding & I can’t wait to go there for many more occasions in years ahead.

We had an awesome lunch at the Garden Bar and Kitchen. My wife and I were having a lunch to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Ordered the special of the day which was Wagyu Skirt Steak, Balmain Bugs, Duck fat potatoes and Broccolini. Meg our waitress asked if we were celebrating anything, and we mentioned our Wedding Anniversary and gave us a complementary desert. Great service, Amazing Food and Awesome location. We will be back

The food was superb! Good service and good relaxing ambience for a chill lunch. Glad that we missed a turn along the Hwy and ended up up at this nice and quiet little town. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

All our meals where very tasty, flavour was amazing. Boys had the chicken burgers 🍔 I had the salt & pepper calamari with broccolini side & it was absolutely beautiful, my friend had the pasta, we all gave it the thumbs up. Highly recommend.

Great location, amazing food and very knowledgeable with their cocktails. We went here for our anniversary dinner and it exceeded all our expectations, such a gem of a location and you felt well looked after.

A suprisingly pleasant dining experience. Passed through Fredrickton on a recent trip and heard that there was a great restaurant in the area.
After a quick Google search we located The Garden Bar & Kitchen. Initial impressions were that this would certainly be the best restaurant in the local area.
The staff were extremely attentive and the location is excellent.
Food was great, with the majority of ingredients being sourced from the local area.
Will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

The ambience is so very peaceful ,sitting by the river with awesome live music and excellent service from all staff . Had the pleasure of chatting to both the owners during the evening. Delightful couple ,and a real credit to both in creating such a great atmosphere . Our food was well received and delicious. Will definitely be back soon. Superb. Nothing too adventurous but a classic menu, done very well, and well-judged to please the mixed clientele of locals enjoying a special lunch out, visitors to the valley, and lucky motorists. Creative and unusual above average desserts, and coffee worth sitting down for. If you're thinking of stopping for a 45 minute break from a long drive through NSW, do so, but be prepared to accidentally while away a delightful couple of hours instead, enjoying the food and the view.

Garden Bar is a beautiful restaurant with lovely views over the river. The menu is simple but brilliant. I had fish and chips, the fish was delicious and the batter had an English feel and was yummy. The home made tartar sauce was excellent. Very recommended

Had my wedding here in October. Could not recommend these guys enough! Good vibes, good food, good views and good times all round! They went above and beyond to make my wedding so special. The food is delicious and all my guests keep raving about how it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Was a beautiful day and I am so happy I got to have my special day with the guys at The Garden Bar ❤

They did a phenomenal job with the set up, and the chef and bar staff served up the most delicious meals & drinks that all our guests kept raving about all night & in the time since.
The coordinator Alice had excellent communication from the get go, and is a perfectionist with a great eye for detail.
This space is perfect for any couple wanting a stress free, fun wedding with amazing food & beverages, or an unbeatable view and atmosphere. All at an affordable and fair price! 20/10

I was here from The Tweed for an event and liked the place. The setting on the river is lovely, and the full moon was spectacular.
Staff were great, and the food was good too. Will definitely come back.
