Musos Corner

I would like to start my post by saying, "May the 4th be with you."
Today, we visited Muso's Corner with the purpose of finding a guitar rack.
Upon arrival, we found a long line of various musicians (and their children), which snaked itself along the street.
When we returned later, the store was still at capacity. Like most people, we just wandered around the store and browsed for the items we were interested in.
I reflect for a moment realising that I have been a customer for 30 years. I have purchased at least five guitars at this venue and countless accessories.
It is good to see a couple of young people in the store. Perhaps they, too, might be customers for the next three decades.

Out of the way for me (as a Sydney-sider) but was on a trip to the area. So glad I made the detoure to visit. About 1/3 of the store dedicated to guitars (electric and accoustic), 1/4 to drums and precussion, and the rest to keyboards and a little woodwind. Needed parts to fix my drum set (new feet for kick-drum legs) and wanted a shop big enough that they might have them - and they did.

Today my 14yo daughter bought her first Cort acoustic guitar with her own money from her job. Our sales assistant “Kenny” was amazing with her. He was patient, enthusiastic and nothing was a problem. He really made the guitar purchase a fun adventure for her. She was overwhelmed by the thought of going to Muso’s but Kenny made us both feel at ease. Thanks Kenny 👍 You were awesome 🙏

Just purchased my new Maton SRS60C acoustic guitar and case this week from Musos Corner in Newcastle NSW...

I have always found Maton guitars to be without question one of the finest quality instrument makers world wide... I love the sound (acoustic and amplified), the playability and the craftsmanship of this instrument, made from beautiful Australia native Queensland Maple tone wood and the way the light plays with the figure in this woods is breathtaking...

Their price was the best in the district which made this purchase a no brainer, this wasn't my first Maton and probably won't be my last...

I've been a long time customer at Musos Corner Newcastle for many years and have always found the staff to be friendly, helpful and above all provide great customer service, they make purchases so easy and if a product is not in stock they do their very best to track it down and get it if available...

I recently purchased a Gretsch 6228LH-PE from Muso's Corner as a special order. The guitar arrived much sooner than expected and as always I got the best price around for this high-end Gretsch.
The guitar is absolutely fantastic. The build quality is flawless. I own several high-end lefties including Gibson Fender and PRS. This guitar is right up there with the best in my opinion, the Tim Shaw-designed Broad Tron 65 pickups have set a new bench level for clarity and power, and have to be heard to believe how good they sound and how versatile they are. The true ability to blend pickups with separate volume controls on this guitar as well as master tone and volume gives endless options. The sustain is exceptionally good on this guitar, it just rings forever.....Colour options for Lefties is Green, thats it, but we are used to limited choices in high end stuff. If you like Filter Tron PUPS and Bigsby you can have Black, thats it, no Green just Black.
I can't speak highly enough of the service I received from Braden and Sean at Musos', I have been dealing with these guys for many years now, and have purchased several amps and cabinets, guitars, effects pedals etc and they have always consistently given me great prices and great personal service.
Newcastle is very lucky to have this fantastic music shop with friendly helpful staff and a huge range of gear. Thanks guys.

Having no idea of what is involved with a drum kit for kids (6 kids age 2 to 7) I was so impressed with the service, spoke to a sales assistant and then ordered online, when i did need to contact the store again, on a Sunday Morning, my query was delt with in a quick, timely and professional manner. follow up emails were also welcomed. Great service when I bought my Fender Player Plus Top Tobacco burst from Musos Centre. Fast free shipping to Melbourne and it plays well out of the box. And the price was the best among the many retailers. Very happy.

Top place and communication. Had to travel from Sydney to get my Roland HandSonic. Gave me a decent price with the stand and bag. Kind enough to hold it for me because I couldn't make it on the day I promised.

I purchased Antelope Audio Discrete 4 from Musos Corner and all I can say about the product and the store is that I'm very happy with both , Easy to use interface and the sound quality is outstanding. Their plugins are the cherry on the cake, and their customer service is second to none. I highly recommend this unit or any antelope audio unit and their plugins to anyone who is serious about audio production.

I was lucky enough to get the interface bundled with their Edge Solo Microphone which came with all mic modelling software included, absolutely fantastic, I don't record without their plugins or mic modelling.

I've seen a lot of videos complaining about afx2daw plugin available as a separate purchase for you to use their plugins directly in your DAW.

I can confirm that afx2daw comes included with any Antelope Audio product.

Lastly, they constantly have updates of their products and are always sending out special and free plugins as part of promotions. There's currently one on the Discrete 4 among others!

Bought a Gretsch G5222 online for a competitive price. Rang the shop the next morning and spoke to Josh who was friendly and helpful. Had the crew replace the stop bridge with a Gotoh GE101Z and had the guitar restrung with 52-12 strings with a wound G. This was no problem and set up was complimentary. My guitar was shipped to me within a week. Guitar plays like a dream and I recommend Musos Corner. These guys know their stuff and are as passionate about their gear as I am. A+

Last Saturday, I placed an online order for a Made in Japan, Ibanez Tube Screamer TS9. Not only was it the lowest price I could find, the staff were super friendly, the item qualified for free delivery, and arrived just a few days later, amidst all this pandemic and its impact on deliveries. And to top it all off, the tone I am getting from this pedal is awesome...RESULT!
