A Newcastle institution. Consistently great and delicious food and coffee for reasonable and competitive prices with exemplary and kind service. Can’t fault this place. The old school interior and service is a nice break from sterile and impersonal cafes that are in vogue atm. Can’t wait to visit again!

Haven't lived in Newcastle for a long time, but we still reminisce about this place. We used to go regularly for breakfast before leaving town to travel around Australia. Never have we found a more genuine cafe. Eceptional value for money and consistently great family service were not matched in any place since. This is a true gem. Old Newcastle treasure.

Since working in Newcastle, the Embassy has long been my go-to for lunch. The owners are always warm and friendly, the food is good, and the prices are very reasonable. Thank you for all your hard work!

Love this place...old school and that is just how I like it. I take my three small sons there on Saturday mornings and they always make a mess but are welcomed each time and gets lots of attention which they love. Only time I can get them to have a eggs is at the Embassy. Also has an old reel to reel Akai tape player that still works...awesome.

Haas all the options for whatever sandwich or wrap you want as well as lots of hot food. It's reasonably priced and only downside is when you add a drink it can get a bit expensive. But you will be very full after a sanwhich/wrap here.

Good old fashioned service at old fashioned prices. The Embassy has been run by the same family for around 50 years. Best coffee in Newcastle.

The $8 brekky special of eggs, bacon and chips probs one of best value in Newcastle and its a super quaint old school cafe like you dont really see much of anymore.

Amazing service fantastic delicious food and huge servings these guys are a family owned and operated business and they do an amazing job please keep supporting them this cafe is the best in the cbd also Trevor is so so friendly and cooks up the best food

Traditional breakfasts with great service and the old-world charm of an original 50s café (perhaps one of Newcastle longest continuously running cafés), no fuss dining, eat in or take away, with a good range of lunch options at a good price

Perfect service with a smile, delicious food at an affordable price. I dropped my knife and it was replaced in seconds without me even asking for it. Just surprised it isn't being talked about more.

Good coffee, great chips. No high chairs or booster seats. Accepts using your own keep cup.
