Wallangulla Motel

Took 34 people to Lightning ridge and we stayed here to 6 nights. Very clean rooms, great service and the kitchen room was a hit with a home cooked breakfast every morning.

Stayed here a number of times now. Each time I've experienced extremely helpful staff. Nothing is too hard. We flew in so didn't have a car but we were helped out beyond expectations with regard to our requests. Thanks to Amber, Julie and Carol for your help and happy natures. I'll be back again one day.

We loved our stay at this motel. Our room was so big and very well equipped and furnished. It is a short walking distance to pubs and cafes.

Staff here were very friendly, welcoming, and excited to share with us the highlights of town and the best times to visit certain areas.
The rooms were standard but clean and comfortable. It is very easy to walk to where we want but also to take a car for trips further out.

The lady (Receptionist) is Senior, but she is a very nice person. Rooms are actualy good, but that depends on which one you choose.

I booked number 12 and 14, both are very comfortable for me.
- They have a hair dryer which is a plus for me !
- Complimentaries are nice, and we got fresh milks.. sweet.
- Breaky are also nice, the uncle are really polite and helpful, unfortunately they ran out of lamb chops that time but the bacon egg toast are very nice along with good coffee.
- They have swimming pool also, but havent tried since work calls in early morning.
- bathroom are nice, they provide towels for face, sweat and body.
- The room i booked has 3 bedrooms which also very nice, and the walls are quite solid (unless you are having a wild night)

This is a small town, but they deliver a good service. Good luck for you guys !

Carol and her team were very professional, helpful, and an absolute crack up. Nothing was too much trouble. We will be back.

Perfectly comfortable room. And despite being fairly well booked up, was lovely and quiet. Located opposite the bowling club, for an easy stroll to get dinner, and even better if you stay for a few frothy beverages after dinner and don't want to worry about a long walk back. Wifi is a bit patchy, but it serves its purpose. Make sure to get the password when checking in.

I like staying there and it was great and staff were great they had a no pet rule my cats were toy cats and they were support workers in cat form

So pleased I chose the Wallangulla Motel Lightning Ridge for a recent stay this month. Such a clean motel with friendly staff. Didnt need the AC as the room so really well insulated. Great Breakfast and across the road from the Bowling club with excellent meals charged back to the room. Loved it and will be back again for sure.

Good clean room, everything worked. Friendly staff, moved cars around so we could put our bikes under cover. Location handy to bowls club- good meals there .

Rooms are fabulous and being part of the bowling club you can use you key to put meals on your bill. Great laundry and not expensive. I would always stay here.

Our room was disability friendly. Walking distance to most town points of interest. Large bowls club across road. Membership offers discounts on accommodation costs.

Great motel. Very comfortable with all you need and friendly, helpful staff. Can't recommend highly enough. The bowls cllub is across the road for excellent meals and drinks at reasonable prices.

Old fashioned accommodation in the NSW Outback. A comfortable stay. My accommodation was ‘neat as a pin’.

In Lighting Ridge the Wallangulla Motel is a great relief from the long road trip driving from Dubbo. Comfy beds, clean bathrooms, friendly staff and central to all the activities the town has to offer. World class bowling club across the road. Great service.
Recommended for business trips to the Ridge. AAA++

Nice Motel good size rooms, really nice management and just across the road from the club for great meals. In the centre of town close to all shops.

We had a downstairs room with 1 queen and one single bed. Very comfortable. Walls were bare bricks which keeps the room cool.
Food in the Bowling Club was GREAT value for money and could be charged on the room.

Great location, amazing service, neat and tidy with a comfy bed 👍
