Chasin Opal Holiday Park

This cabin park is not big and has no pool. However it does have a BBQ and a laundry. The cabins have everything you need and was enough room for 4 of us. The highlight was the lovely lady who ran it. Nothing was too much trouble and she was very kind.

Room clean and tidy. Comfy bed with crisp linen. Fluffy towels. Everything here perfect stay, incl cutlery, crockery, double elect hobs + sml oven + microwave.
Handy to bowls club for meals, but we dined at Brunos italian - perfect

Thanks to Deb for finding accommodation for 5 nights at short notice. The cabin was adequately equipped, nice verandah and close to all the sights and experiences on offer in Lightning Ridge. Would definitely recommend.

Great accommodations. Very clean and newly renovated. Huge space. We got the two bedroom. The bunk bed was perfect considering we had two kids. The price is right. Very friendly staff, had a couple good conversations, he even gave us a tidbit of info on opaling!!! This is where we will stay if we come to Lightning Ridge again!!! All it needs is a new street sign!

Located in the heart of town, this cabin park offers a range of cabins suited to couples and families. Set back from the main road, you will enjoy a peaceful stay in the clean & tidy cabins with Queen beds and all the things you need to be self sufficient. Family cabins have cook- tops with pots, pans & cutlery. There is an Onsite laundry, covered terrace with free gas BBQ, and Allan (the owner) loves to have chat to ensure you're comfortable and made to feel welcome. Consider this place when you choose to stay in "the Ridge".

A great find in a small town- very well kept rooms, clean and included everything you need. Modern and updated, air conditioner worked wonderfully and BBQ and laundry facilities were a great plus. Couldn't really ask for more!

What a lovely little place. The cabin is clean and tidy and comfortable. Sat on the verandah with a coffee in the morning, walked over to the Bowls Club for a great meal. It was quiet and we slept well. Stacey at reception was a treasure. Definitely recommend a stay.

We had a wonderful stay here, my boys loved the bunk beds in the miner cabin and the second night we also sampled the luxury of the crystal cabin. The beds were nice and warm, clean and with everything to be able to cook in the cabin. Stacey was so lovely with my boys showing her their “opals” they loved the bag of rough.

Fantastic!! Was phoned on my way to see how I was travelling on the road… don’t get that from other places. A very warm response.

Great little holiday park. The room was super clean and there were plenty of crisp, white towels to use. The bed was REALLY comfortable. Walking distance to anywhere in the little town. The manager was great, even lent us the phone as our cells didnt have reception in the town.

Really clean accommodation in convenient location. Literally right in the centre of town. Fuss free booking and check in. Don't let the drab exterior put you off. The rooms are nice inside.

Excellent place to stay. We were a family of 5 people with 2 children and stayed very comfortably. The owner Greg was an absolute gentleman who helped us in everything we needed. This is a perfect place if you want to experience outback stay and are not fussy about star luxury Very convenient location and value for money. Five stars.

We had to cancel one nights accomodation, and it was no problem, he just gave us our money back. A lovely owner, we will definitely be back

We chose this park for its walking distance to almost everywhere in the main area of Lightning Ridge. Coffee shop/cafe right near by, bowlo and pub a step away and supermarket also close but even a bigger bonus was our cabin. It was beautifully clean, cosy and comfortable. Everything was supplied and linen was beautiful. We stayed 2 nights but couldnt fit all of our adventures in and so are returning in the coming weeks for a few more days and didn't look for other accomodation as we really liked our stay there so I just rang the manager Alan and he rebooked us in. Nothing was a problem. Easy as that. Would highly recommend Chasin Opal as a wonderful stay.

Great service and very nice little cabin for a good price. We were on a camping holiday but came into town late after a breakdown. A lovely man took our call, said yes he had a room. We found out on arrival that he even though he had closed up for the day he had come back to let us in. Love the people in this town.

It was a great cabin, very clean, had everything we need. We stayed at the crystal cabin it was wonderful. The staff were easy going and very helpful. It is in a great location and not far to walk to the shops, cafe or bowling club.
