Exceptionally clean room and bathroom. Kitchenette with all the necessities, bar fridge, microwave, jug, toaster, fresh rain water for drinking awesome air-conditioning and TV, bed and pillows super comfortable and clean linen. central to town just across from LRDBC and awesome friendly staff who love a yarn! Thank you bluey motel, I hope to be back one day 💙

Comfy rooms, very clean and tidy, plenty of room, staff helpful and friendly. Bowling club across the road and shops nearby. Price very reasonable

We stayed just the one night here on our way to Melbourne.
Booking was done on the phone on the way there with a late arrival of 9.30pm, this was accommodated as easily as if we were arriving at 5.30pm. We even had a large trailer behind us, which was not an issue either.
The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was functional, and the shower was lovely.
My only gripe is the website is $99 and is not the current price.
This will be our stop over for future Melbourne trips.

Pristine place with charming character. Awesome service, room amenities and massive tavern opposite. Place to park longer 4wd with trailer/caravan under Blueys security cams adjacent. Will make this our regular stop for every GAFA journey hereon.

Motel older style and wasn’t sure on arrival, but so so clean, small rooms but with absolutely everything you could need! Friendly no fuss and helpful service. Would not hesitate to recommend! Close to everything too!!

Wonderful place to stay in Lightning Ridge. Very friendly and helpful staff and although a little old fashioned the rooms were very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. Also everything you might need for your stay is catered for. Perfectly located in town and very quiet. Would definitely stay there again.

We loved this motel.old fashioned hospitality the rooms are spotlessly clean with no over powering smell of disinfectant to mask smells like you find in most motels. The owners are very helpful and friendly.nothing was to much trouble for them.The lady obviously loved her garden and it showed the flowers were a welcoming sight in the harsh landscape of Lighting Ridge where only the toughest survive. Loved our stay could have stayed longer as there is so much to do in this interesting little town. Thank you Bluey Motel for great stay Elaine and Brian.

Stayed for 2 nights. Comfortable bed. Nice size room fresh rain water to drink. Shower good pressure. Great price.. All flat units no stairs. Peaceful place to stay and relax is what I wanted. 😊

Very friendly, family run place. You will feel very welcome, and the coulple running it will try to help you with any question you might have.

Rooms had heatpump for warm and cold days and beds were very comfortable.

Nice, simple motel. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It's nice and quiet at night too. The price was very reasonable and the owners are lovely.

We stayed at Bluey for one night in January 2019.

The place is obviously well run. It must take some serious effort to water and keep alive all the beautiful flowers in the yard during the scorching summer heat. The rooms are rather small (thus we had to take 2 rooms for family of 4) yet totally cosy and comfy. They are bright, painted vivid (though eye-pleasing) yellow, and absurdly clean looking. Before we got to LR I was afraid of all sorts of desert creeps possibly sneaking into the room, but to my relief, absolutely no sign of this whatsoever - we get more bugs in Sydney!!! Live-saving AC worked perfect in both rooms. While I leaned on the wall, I noticed the bricks on the "sunshine side" of the unit went pretty warm late afternoon. This was no problem for the AC, though, we just went joking about this as we don't get that much intense heat back home.

We enjoyed having our brekky in the patio (the morning was pleasingly "cool") and chatting with Graeme, while our kids threw balls to owners' amicable dog. The place just made us feel totally relaxed - it has definitely some sort of spell that makes it stand out. If we ever happen to be in LR again or some of our friends go this way, this is an easy suggestion!

I probably wouldn't stay anywhere else if in Lightning Ridge again.
Corinna does an excellent job of running this motel. We had such a good stay.

Great stay - room very clean/tidy, and best price with a/c and microwave. Located in walking distance to shops,cafes, tourist centre, local club. Graeme and Carenna are extremely helpful and genuine hosts. Definitely would book again next time in The Ridge

We had a very pleasant stay. The host was very helpful and extremely nice. The accommodation was excellent. Plenty of room. The location was great. All in all a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend this Motel.

Excellent, VERY clean & tidy, 4* queen bed, modern split system a/c.
In 2.5 weeks of hotel/motel/shearers qtrs, the Bluey Motel has ticked all the boxes for amenities & price.
