Mouth watering food tonight and every time. As always, you get what you pay for, and our meals were all delicious. Portion sizes were perfect. 👌🏽 love this place, would like to see a tweak to the menu to see what other fabulous meals the chefs can come up with because everything they put on the plate is amazing. Never any left overs..,

Beautiful pub, great atmosphere, nice food. We had burgers and garlic prawn pizza there, it was nice.

Lovely place with nice brewery beers. Didn’t book, but were seated at 4:30pm on Friday. Unfortunately dinner menu is available from 5:30pm so we had some beer with snacks until we could order some dinner dishes.

Got here for dinner. The atmosphere is very relaxing. The selections of beer is good. Tried out warmed olives - nice. The service is very relaxed. So, if you would like to get something - better order at the bar. May be they were understaffed. Anyway, guys are very friendly. The steak was good. Got sirloin medium rare and did not regret.

My group got the bottomless brunch and we were a bit late and they were fully accommodating. The drinks were served continuously, and the food was delish. The servers Georgia and Edee were brilliant, so friendly and helped create a fun atmosphere. There were board games to use and great music the whole time. Would recommend for a weekend activity 💯

Ordered the honey baked brie, crispy pork belly and the special which was pumpkin and spinach fettuccine. Food was delightfully delicious. On top of that the hospitality from the staff was above and beyond the call of the duty. Staff were friendly and accommodating to my family, even making my daughter a mocktail to match mine. Highly recommend.

Great restaurant with a pub, quite spacious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Food was great as well, kids loved the milkshakes!

Wow this place is incredible. Staff are very friendly and quick service even on Mothers Day. Baked brie is DELICIOUS and the rest of the food is great. They serve alcohol cocktails as well. Highly recommended.

This is the best place I've eaten in Newcastle.
I come over to visit relatives and love to go out to various "foodie" establishments.
Had this one in sights and it happened over lunch today.
Really spacious and welcoming interior with tables tall and regular plus a double couch. A bar with something for everyone. Including plenty of craft beers, so big tick from me there!

Suffice to say there are plenty of options. (Took us ages to choose, plenty of delicious choices.)
We had cheesie garlic bread one chicken burger, with sweet potato wedges & one pulled pork Tex burger with thick cut chips.
All washed down with craft beer.
Now, ordinarily, that doesn't sound too exotic, however, I haven't rated it so highly for no reason. Don't know what they're doing in the kitchen but we're the most amazing tasting burgers I've tasted!!
Plus, they were super filling so your not feeling hungry at the end.
Next time I'm trying one their amazing looking salads that others were having whilst we were there.
There is a Mini Wombats(kids)menu as well so it would be a good place for the kids for something different.
Our visit was a Tuesday and it was relatively quiet so it was easy to talk. Even so the layout is such that you wouldn't be crammed regardless. There is room to move.
Staff are really friendly and seem happy to be working there.
Now, as a side note, the facilities at the rear for the inevitable visit might surprise you. I have never seen as large a restroom in any establishment this size, ever.
That's a comfy thought for most.

Fantastic food and cocktails with pub-like atmosphere. Steak was cooked beautifully, lamb shoulder was intense and delicious. Apple crumble was amazing and served at perfect temperature (piping hot).

Fabulous place to eat before shows at the civic. Great easy food. Delicious pizza. Tasty wines. And staff were so friendly and helpful. Have been a few times. Definitely recommend.

Wonderful place for dinner, my partner and I dined in on Friday the 19th and it was an amazing experience! The food was so incredible, flavourful, huge serves with such perfectly balanced elements, kudos to the chef!! Our waitress was very attentive, happy and helpful~ If I lived in NSW, this would be a regular spot for me, definitely worth a visit! Thank you guys keep it up 💪🏻

The best place ever! And even better was the staff... in particular a young lady named Meg. She served us with a smile, knew her job exceptionally well, friendly, made us feel welcome and felt like family. Thanks Meg, you're worth more money! The food was amazing. Great sized portions and came out in a timely manner. Was a fantastic choice of venue for us before a show at Civic Theatre which was only a 7 minute walk away. Will definitely go back to try a cocktail next time 😀

Boy we had a great night at this place. The staff create an amazing atmosphere. Renee Jodie Elly and Olivia are all really fun and they all work very hard to make sure everything is perfect. The four of us had fantastic meals. I had the barramundi and it was really special. All in all the perfect spot in Newy for a boozy dinner with friends.

We booked in here for a few friends to catch up and eat .
I can say we had a wonderful time and the food was delicious the mezze' plate not pictured was amazing also pictures are the slow cooked lamb shoulder,pork belly and the sticky date pudding (I ate way too much lol)and the service was great even when the place was packed with people ☺

Tasty food, good vibe, good choice of beer and best of all, really GREAT staff. We felt that everyone seemed really happy to be at work. So refreshing. We will happily visit Happy Wombat next time we come to Newcastle. You should too!

The best place possible. We are moving here next year so we are going to come here every weekend. The service is amazing and so kind. The ham tastes like bacon even though it’s not cooked. The cookies are fabulous and look so cute and adorable. Review written by Frankie aged 9yrs old.
