Illawarra Animal Hospital - Figtree

I've been to numerous vets in Wollongong with multiple dogs and honestly I can't speak highly enough about this vet and all their staff. They are empathetic, attentive, caring, understanding and always ready to to give me all the information I need about my dogs treatment and treatment plan. They are forthcoming and no questions are left unanswered and it's done in an efficient and effective manner. I've had a special case were my dog was flying under the radar with multiple illnesses and it took the amazing vets at Figtree less than a week to figure her diagnosis out. It's well-equipped with modern technology and personally I feel it's a one stop shop.

A big thank-you to Dr Leoni and all the staff at Illawarra Animal Hospital Figtree! They were all very friendly, caring, knowledgeable and helpful in the recovery of my bird. Super happy with the professional service.

After our idiot greyhound found a basket of chocolate Easter eggs and ate them, we had to ring around madly looking for an after hours vet and thankfully contacted the Illawarra Animal Hospital at Figtree. The staff were so good from our very first call they were helpful and very professional. We ended up arriving after their closing time and they didn’t care at all treating our dog straight away. Rebecca the Vet was lovely, very professional and reassuring, Jade the Vet nurse on duty was fantastic. What a great team. We were blown away by how lovely and caring they all were .. we can’t thank them enough. So highly recommended .

Dr Ryan was amazing with our ginger cat. He treated him like his own and made us feel at ease leaving him overnight.

I cannot put into words how fantastic and amazing the vet clinic and Dr Ryan are. From the moment we brought our extremely sick cat in with kidney failure, they had shown true interest in getting him better, and not bleeding us dry in the process. They talked us through everything and explained it all in layman's terms so that we could fully understand the situation and what was required for our furr baby. I would not recommend any other veterinary clinic in the Illawarra. I have no doubt the Yallah clinic will have the same standards. Incredible service.

They were great in our final days with our cat Maia. They allowed her to live out her final days gracefully and looked after her very well.

Outstanding service. My puppy was attacked by a dog and needed to have a wound assessed. When I rang they fit him in right away and were so reassuring. As my puppy was quite nervous they cleared the waiting room and were so patient and gentle with him. The nurse assessing him, Lauren, was particularly amazing with him and made sure he was comfortable for his first vet visit since his puppy vaccines. I couldn’t have asked for better service and kindness.

I’d rate them 10 stars if I could! We’ve bought all of our dogs here, including a litter of 8 pups, and the staff having been so amazing - from the front desk to all the vets. We never feel pushed for extras, they explain everything and give us a choice, often saving us time and money. Highly recommend!

With some trepidation, after a distressing experience at our former vet, I took my anxious dog to the Figtree surgery for this year's vaccination. Staff and vet could not have been kinder or more encouraging. They allowed my boy to settle at his own pace, and his experience was calm and positive. Very impressed, we will be returning.

I have no hesitation taking my dog here knowing he is getting the very best of care. The staff are amazing; truly caring towards all of the animals, and explain all procedures and treatments in a clear but professional manner. We were lucky enough to be given a brief tour (at Figtree) after puppy school and the facilities are immaculate, they have rehabilitation onsite, and their cat boarding service looked very clean and hygienic. But to me most importantly, they love animals

Compassionate and understanding as well as efficient and helpful. Will recommend them to all pet owners.

We have recently move to the are and it was our first time visiting today. I am so thankful to the wonderful staff for being so accommodating to my nervous girl Luna. Paddy and the team had great service and made us feel very comfortable. See you soon!

Very friendly staff who are passionate about they do. The team take the time to make sure you understand everything which has made taking our first dog there a very positive experience. The staff are amazing and always happy for questions and take the time to explain everything you need.

I had the good fortune to see Molly and Hannah here. What an asset they both are to this surgery. I’m sure everyone here is similarly calming and kind. So impressed with the whole experience, team so friendly and helpful. Was able to get a same day booking actually within 10 mins! Vet nurses so helpful and Vet was brilliant with my Cat. Clinic is new and looks great. Plenty of parking.

Dr Paul and staff were very caring when our little rabbit presented very unwell. Dr Paul was very professional and supportive as we said goodbye to our little bun. Thankyou to all.

We feel pretty lucky to have found a trustworthy local vet. The doctors and nurses are very caring and their puppy school was very helpful for us and our dog. Really made a difference in our dogs development thus far.

I’ve been taking my husky Pepi for treatment here with rehab vet, Dr Montana, since around November 2019. When we first started going he was in pain from arthritis and quite non responsive to medication. Pepi is naturally a bit of a sook but Dr Montana’s caring, kind and compassionate manner puts him at ease every time. After just one visit, he had improved considerably and now after six treatments with the TENS machine, laser and hydrotherapy treadmill, he’s like a puppy again. I can’t rate this clinic and its team highly enough. The front desk staff are just beautiful people, the nurses are wonderful and the vets incredible. We are so grateful to have found them.
