Bombora Seafood Cafe/Restaurant

This is a great venue! Amazing view, amazing service from Sophie, great food. My Coeliac daughter had the gluten free bacon and egg roll, and iced chocolate (the chef checked all ingredients and voluntarily washed his hands before preparing her food)
We will make this place a regular visit :)

We went on Australian day and the restaurant is very busy. Despite that, the quality of food and the service they deliver is still amazing.

We ordered a Bombora basket and a pamasen crumbed fish. Both are fresh and delicious. The only thing is the chips are a little less crunchy than the seafood. We also ordered a little too much fried food that felt a little oily and full. Would be great if they provide a little more tartar sauce for the fish. Or next time we should order one fried meal with one grill / salad option.

Option of the meals are very generous. Maybe that's why we were very full too.

The restaurant is right next to the water , which is amazing if you enjoy a bit of sea breeze with a beer / white wine :)

Will definitely go there again.

Great restaurant in a prime location overlooking Wollongong harbor. Great menu selection for all tastes at very reasonable prices. Food is fresh, delicious and good servings. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Wonderful lunch experience, celebrating my mother's 85th birthday. Food was amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed the seafood platter.

When visiting Wollongong, this is a must do. The food is delicious and fresh! The staff are friendly, will check in with you but aren't overly attentive so you can still enjoy the time with your friends/ family.
The views from both in and out are great which makes for a great atmosphere!

Wonderful seafood restaurant located at a very convenient location with amazing view of the Wollongong harbour. Seafood platter was perfectly plated and well-prepared. Great mix of flavours! Love the clams above all! The Midori splice cocktail has an exciting taste and would make a perfect summer drink, while the Blue Bombora cocktail has a zesty feel and also has a great taste. Service crew are courteous and catered for each guest well despite a busy period. Highly recommended seafood restaurant.

The view, especially on a sunny day, is superb. When the southeast ocean swell is up there’s a bombora that breaks to the north. The food is always good. Bombora is a hybrid of cafe and restaurant and this works well for both occasions. The staff are very friendly and efficient with their service. The Bombora is a licensed premise.

They're usually pretty busy, so book in advance to avoid missing out and go for an outside table on a sunny day.
And after a great feed and a few tasty beverages🍸🍹, you can walk it off with a fun stroll around the harbour and lighthouse!🤗✌

Food came out quick and was delicious!
The lemon sole was the highlight for me and so was the bombora basket.

Had a wonderful experience here for my mother in laws surprise 80th bday lunch. Easily accommodated 16.

Everyone enjoyed the food and the view. The service was great and liked that everyone could order their own drinks and meals using the QR code on their tables, meaning everyone got what they wanted and no split bills at the end.

Beautiful view over the small harbour. All staff was very friendly and welcoming. The market fish was superb. Despite being deep fried, it wasn't fatty at all and the fries weren't too fatty either. This was probably the best best fish and chips I ever had and the seasoning was great as well. I would highly recommend the dish. I was just hoping to find some local fish that is not fried, which wasn't offered, that's my only negative aspect.

We came back to have the seafood platter again. It's fantastic value. The only fried food was the chips the rest was full of hot and cold seafood with salad. Excellent quality so fresh. Friendly staff relaxed atmosphere wonderful ocean views. Definitely recommend.

Waitress recommended dishes of the day and all of it was truly flavourful. Cheese soup was tuned to perfection. Highly recommended restaurant in Wollongong

Didn't have a booking for Mother's Day Lunch but they were able to squeeze a family of 5 in. Food was good and the weather was perfect for an outside seat.

Great location and great customer service. Food menu looks good although we just had coffee tea and cakes. We were there for afternoon tea and the atmosphere was lovely and waiter offered to take some nice photos of our family and we enjoyed the lovely cakes and drinks, will definitely go back when we come to Wollongong again.
We went there on a rainy day but I bet during summer time the weather makes the outdoor area very lovely to spend time with friends and family

Amazing location with a mesmerising view, we really enjoyed it so much. Coffee was great. We also tried some pastries, and it was so delicious. It was a great experience being here. Pretty much all the sits have an amazing view inside and outside, highly recommended

Celebrated a family birthday at Bombora. Food and service were excellent. Everyone had a great time. And everyone could buy separately which was easy. It was a hot day, but we all felt cool and comfortable in the restaurant

The food, service and atmosphere was absolutely wonderful. You also catered for our little people with perfection. We all left full and happy. Will definitely be back to try the breakfast menu.

Awesome friendly staff, beautiful food and cheap cocktails were on the menu as we enjoyed our day.
This place has an all day brunch menu, and a great range of Seafood dishes to choose from.
We had the seafood platter for two.
There was a whole lobster, prawns and mussels soaked in a gorgeous creamy sauce.
There were bugs, salmon, oysters, and barramundi.and chilled prawns as well.
The salad dressing in house recipe, which I really wanted but it's secret, is so good
Chips completed the dish, and apart from the cold prawns not having much flavour, everything else was perfect.

The view from the front window seats was awesome.
They have outside seating as well as a main area.
The cakes and slices looked beautiful, but we had no room left.
Definitely a place to return to.
Lots of options we still want to try.
