This is such a pretty spot in Wollongong. The view is spectacular and is just a short walk from Wollongong Harbour. On a clear day like the day I was there, it’s stunning. This is definitely worth a visit, I don’t see how you can be disappointed.

Cute place to park the car, walk around, and have a picnic. Few of the water is pretty- especially a good spot for sunrise and sunset. Loved grabbing a book to sit around or taking a jog here. But can be super windy

I do love a good Lighthouse. This one was an unmanned lighthouse. Beautiful outlook on the hill. Not to busy.

The Flagstaff Point Lighthouse in Wollongong is an absolute gem of a landmark that is not to be missed. Perched atop a rocky outcrop overlooking the stunning Wollongong coastline, this lighthouse is a true masterpiece of engineering and design.

As you make your way up the winding path to the lighthouse, you'll be struck by the beauty and tranquility of the surrounding landscape. Beautiful view, fresh and chill air during a sunny summer day. Bring your umbrella, beach towel to just sit there, lie down and relax on the shade of the lighthouse.

Didn’t expect the view to be this beautiful as the lighthouse isn’t located that high. Then the surroundings turned out spectacular. Be careful with the seagulls though as they wouldn’t be nice guys

Wollongong, Australia boasts a unique coastal feature: two lighthouses. The Breakwater lighthouse, though inactive since 1974, stands 40 feet tall with a tapered wrought iron tower and lantern. Contrastingly, the Flagstaff Hill lighthouse remains active and is characterized by its all-white structure. Nestled on Wollongong Harbour's Flagstaff Hill, the location holds historical significance as a point Captain James Cook passed in 1770. The serene atmosphere and tourist-friendly appeal make it a must-visit spot. The juxtaposition of the two lighthouses and the rich historical narrative add to the charm of this peaceful destination.

I live in Wollongong and never feel bored visiting this place and almost come everyday.
A lot of parking space and few restaurants are also available to get some good food.
Public toilets are available at walking distance.
You will get to see spectacular views of Wollongong beach.
Highly recommend on a sunny day - preferable to witness sunrise.

Excellent view point along the coastline with cliff side views. The light house stands tall and adds to the charm and scenic view. The Flagstaff Hill lighthouse is active. The white light spends 4.5 seconds on and 1.5 seconds off. The red lights are displayed over shallow water to the north and south. The entire structure is painted white. It is located at Flagstaff Hill on Wollongong Harbour.

Super good for night dates and star gazing little away from city. Excellent grass to lie on and watch the night sky.
Pro tip: get your mobile stand for awesome night shots of the starry sky

What a beautiful lookout! Perfect weather when I visited as well so extra bonus for me. Heaps of parking when I arrived on a weekday around 1pm. Strong winds here but it shouldn’t deter anyone
