Amadio’s Vino e Cucina – Kangaroo Island

We ordered the typical items we usually have at an Italian ristorante, meatball appetizer, a huge size pizza cooked nice and crispy. As well as the lamb shank which was prepared just the way I would make at home. We loved the food and would highly recommend. The price for wine bottles to take home with you is also very favorable.

Had an amazing lunch at Amadio’s. The focaccia was delicious for an entree and the main pastas were filling and so tasty. Service, food and drinks were so great; would highly recommend!

We had a beautiful evening at Amadios. The standouts for us were the scallops and the gnocchi that was served from an actual cheese wheel, but everything we ordered was beautiful. The wine also was delicious. The restaurant was packed so we had a small wait for our mains but we were lucky enough to have another travelling couple seated next to us that we had a very enjoyable chat with for the rest of the evening. We would highly recommend Amadios if you’re visiting Kingscote. We’ll be back for sure next time.

We had an excellent meal with friendly, efficient service and a full restaurant that had great atmosphere! Pasta dishes were beautiful - will absolutely go again.

What a wonderful meal!! Loved the Polpette Al Sugo - soft and tasty meatballs in a chunky tomato sauce, great entree!! The crumbed scallops were tasty, the sweetness of the scallops really came through. We also ordered the cotoletta (crumbed pork cutlet) which was cooked nicely and not oily. The second main dish we got was the Linguine Allo Scoglio (seafood pasta) which had a very generous portion of fresh seafood. Staff were all smiles, attentive and made us feel very welcome. 5 stars for food and service! KI is lucky to have this lovely team serving up fresh and tasty traditional Italian fare!

Amadio's offers the most amazing flavorsome meals and excellent customer service. Dietary requirements are catered for without fuss. I recommend booking as it is a very popular venue with both the locals and visitors to the Island.

We've been here nearly a week, eating out at different cafes and restaurants. Armadio's has the best food by far in Kingscote. It was simply delicious and way cheaper than I was expecting. Service is a tiny bit slow, but when you get your food, you forget about it.

Sensational food, service, everything. Could not fault a thing. We shared an entree of veal meatballs - it was truly magnificent and huge for an entree. We then ordered seafood linguini. It was a case of "spot the linguini", there was so much seafood!! Ha ha. Not complaining. Utterly delicious. Great wine too.

Arancini: mushroom, porcini, parmesan, truffle aioli - I really loved this dish! The truffle flavour was amazing. Loved it!

Half Shell Scallops: cauliflower & parmesan cream, salted pistachio crumble - these scallops were super super tender! Very tasty 🤤🤤🤤.

Rigatoni Lamb bolognese: K.I Lamb, tomato sugo, tomato, chilli, lemon, pecorino - the lamb ragu was really tasty! Perfectly made rigatoni - just the right bouncy-ness.

Grilled S.A Whiting: rocket & fennel salad, aioli - wow the whiting was just the most tender! So good 😍😍.

The food and wine was great. We had plenty to eat and we didn't have a long wait. It would be nice if perhaps some Italian scenery was on the walls

As soon as I walked in this restaurant I understood that was gonna be a lovely experience . The venue manager was lovely and passionate ,literally making us very comfortable after a tiring day . She definitely knows what HOSPITALITY means. This restaurant is a ten out of ten in terms of food as well , I ordered a pizza ( for just 20 bucks !) and it made me feel like I was back in Italy. Best pizza I ve ever had in whole S.A. This place made my experience in kangooro island even more unforgettable!

The truffle mushroom gnocchi served out of a WHEEL OF PECORINO CHEESE was one of the best things I've eaten ever.

The QR code ordering system had some glitches for us, would've been easier to just order at the counter with a human.
Otherwise amazing!

The whole family had a great time here. Food was AMAZING. Fantastic wine. The staff were attentive and friendly.

Absolutely wonderful! It's a bit fancier inside the restaurant - outside is more casual, good for families or big groups. The food was delicious and the service was warm and welcoming, We really enjoyed our night out at Amadios

Great service, delicious food, and lovely ambience. On par with anything you'd find in the city. Good drinks list. Outdoor seating available. Indoors can be a bit noisy when busy, making it tricky to hear conversations if you're a bit older or have hearing loss.

Had a wonderful lunch at this beautiful restaurant. Greeted at the door by lovely wait staff and incredible smells. All three meals at our table were exquisite. Servings were the perfect size and the depth of flavours in each dish you had to taste to be believed. We then enjoyed the Tiramisu for dessert and must say it was the best version of this dessert I have ever had. We will definitely be back to this gem of a restaurant.

What a true hidden gem in Kingscote. All the staff were courteous and nothing was too much trouble. The food was authentic, delicious and very well presented. A 10 out of 10 experience all round.
