Amazing restaurant in Kingscote. 10/10 food which was fantastic value for money with friendly service and great options for vegetarians. You have to try the hash browns! Wheelchair accessible. Outdoor and indoor seating. Great coffee. Would recommend to anyone visiting KI

Had breakfast with friend and family on boxing morning. Great atmosphere, fantastic staff and awesome food. Nice and cozy.

Went one day for breakfast and had to return the next for lunch! Granola bowl full of yummy KI ingredients, salmon Benedict special was delish. Pork boa buns for lunch were fab 🤩

The coffee and $10 Tuesday pancakes we had were absolutely amazing. I came to KI to visit a very good friend and she was excited to introduce us to Cactus… it did not disappoint! We got a coffee here every morning. I will forever be comparing pancakes in future to the delicious ones I got at Cactus. Keen to come back to KI just for this cafe, its wonderful food and friendly service!

So good! Food was all fresh and tasty, love that the cafe was Asian inspired too. 2 of us shared 2 smaller mess and there was plenty of food. Fresh juice and iced coffee were a great too. Food came out very fast which made it a great stop off for travelling around wineries on the day.

We went to the Cactus Cafe on two occasions. Once after a town walk and the other a couple of days later for breakfast. Seems as though this is the only cafe along the Dauncey Street that opens at 7:30am. The volume of customers is evident that this is popular and that the quality of service, food and drinks provided is excellent.
A great place to sit inside in the warm, have a chat and enjoy whatever you ordered.
Try it, you will not be disappointed.

Every morning cactus 🌵 puts a smile on my face. Wonderful staff, delicious coffee and on occasion a tasty breakfast, lunch or dinner. 5 stars all the way!!!!!!

They don’t have a huge selection of food on menu but those on the menu are delicious.

Highly recommend their sweet potato & pumpkin soup, very creamy and tasty.

The main course is also very well presented and taste good.

I have been there 3 time, every time I try new and got awesome food. Local people recommended me to go there for breakfast. It was delicious, I highly recommend you to go there. This time for breakfast I had Malple Bacon Pancake and it was nice.

The best place to have breakfast. We absolutely loved our meals and when we returned back to Melbourne we were missing the food. We had breakfast from Cactus both mornings we were at kangaroo island and it was so filling, we actually didn't have to have lunch (which was really good cause we were exploring the island). The staff is amazing too, friendly and nice.

Amazing breakfast! Great service, the hash browns were incredible. And the Mexican hot sauce on the side was such a bonus. 10/10 would recommend.

This would have to be some of the best food on Kangaroo Island! Between us we had The Big Breakfast, Pulled Pork Quesadilla, Smoked Salmon and Pancakes. The flavour combinations and the presentation of each dish was exceptional - more than just an average café. The customer service was also outstanding - the staff are all so friendly and you can tell that everyone shares a camaraderie and passion for what they do. This is all before mentioning the superb coffee! If you want something more for brekky than just your standard bacon and eggs, this is the place to go!

My favourite place for breakfast or lunch. Food always tastes as great as it looks. Reasonable prices and fantastic daily specials. Service is consistently fast and efficient with super friendly and welcoming staff. I highly recommend Cactus if ever you're on Kangaroo Island 🌵

We visited three years ago soon after they opened. They made great coffee and portugese tarts then and still do! However, now in larger premises, there breakfast menu is superb. Friendly service adds to the atmosphere. Definitely the best place to eat for breakfast or lunch. And did I mention, the portugese tarts still disappear very quickly.

Cactus Cafe is a gorgeous little gem in Kingscote. The coffee is great and the food is amazing. In our group we had the corn fritters, fig and almond toast and the Granola with fruit and honey. All were scrumptious. The Granola was the best that I had tasted apart from my own home made! We had breakfast and will go back again tomorrow.

Stopped in for a coffee and couldn’t resist grabbing a bite to eat as the menu sounded so good. Was not disappointed at all, the quesadilla was one of the best meals I had on KI full stop! Beautiful flavours and generous portions. Oh and the coffee was beautiful too!

We just wanted some coffee and something sweet. We both spotted the orange-almond coffee cake at the same time. It was moist, flavorful and was perfect for the snack we were craving. Oh, and the coffee was great too. Perfect place to take a break!
