Dr Paulette Maroun

I first off want to say how supportive and caring Dr Maroun is. This Practice is absolutely amazing, worth the drive, worth the parking, worth the cost, worth everything.

Now I am very overweight. She is the first medical professional to actually help me. Not just take one look and say there is no hope and gastric bypass is the only option (yes an actual GP said that to me even though I had just lost 15kg - he said that was lucky and I could not lose anymore weight).

Dr Maroun and I set out a plan which has been working for me and she did the correct tests that made us discover I have polyps. She also organized blood tests, urine tests and glucose tolerance tests which no other medical professional cared to do.

She not only explained every part of the procedure and surgery I now require, but gave pamphlets, took consideration to complete my required procedures in a way that ensure I am not consistently missing work, gave pamphlets, answered all my questions patiently, walked me through pricing, side effects, aftercare and took time to find out more about me and support me during all the issues.

Not to mention how helpful and kind Katie is, when I call the practice, at answering all my follow up questions, organizing Medicare and helping me with all my forms.

Even my Fiancé absolutely appreciates everything Dr Maroun has done for me. We will never go to anyone else again.

One of the most amaizing, professional doctors I have met...and I met many... always smiles in good mood and polite, get stuff organized and done. I have been a patient for over five years i think. English is my second language and I always get all explanations needed without any problems . I have had a procedure with this dr and im glad I did trusted her.

Best specialist I have seen. Polite and very good. I had a procedure and I recovered very well. Dr Maroun even called me personally to see how I was going. Highly recommend this specialist for Gyno related problems. And The receptionist is also very pleasant and helpful.

Dr Paulette is no doubt very knowledgeable and experienced, but for the $520 charge, I received one session including consultation, examination and some test referrals. The follow-up appointment or communication is not included. Her office emailed me the test scans without any explanation to figure it out myself. To this day, I don't know what was the cause of my issues. Therefore, I think the service she provides is incomplete and confusing, particularly considering the amount charged.

Worst specialist I've ever met, and I've met quite many to have a fair comparison in terms of both service and medical expertise. Extremely rude, inconsiderate, authoritative, dismissive, gave terribly confusing explanation that a Google search can do better, and unable to address my simple and legit health concern. I went to see Maroun for a gynaecology issue. Maroun was 35 minutes late for my appointment but did not offer a single word of apology. In fact, she didn't even bother to say Hi or inroduce herself or ask for my name, even though it was the first time I've seen her. Instead she simply gestured me to come into her office as I was waiting outside and started by complimenting the GP who referred me to see a specialist ( the GP did not refer me to see Maroun in fact, I decided to try her out because all other specialists that I had wanted to see had long waiting lists). Maroun didn't ask why I wanted to see her or what I was seeking for in the appointment, which all doctors that I have seen did. Instead, throughout the appointment, she kept justifying about why I need ro do a particular test ( I don't want to reveal the test for privacy reason) - in confusing ways- without even asking whether that was what I wss concered about . At one point, when I tried to ask a clarifying question, she snapped at me, and I quote: "Don't interrupt!", then went on with her talk. This was despite that I already explained to her earlier that I wanted to understand all the procedures and side effects of the test that she was egging me to do. She showed cleat displeasure when I expressed my concern and raised questions and repeatedly ask me whether I wanted to do that test then and there. I was made to feel so uncomfortable and disrespected that I decided to leave, even though I intended to to take the test from the beginning. Who wants to have a gynaecologist performing a test on your body if she doesn't even show consideration for a patient's concern about their health? Avoid this doctor if you don't want to waste your time and money or be treated with no respect. It was a very distressing experience for me. The receptionist is nice though.
