how excited that the stunning shop back to our community. And welcome the nice lady Fiona come in Croydon.

For close to a decade I have been visiting this shop on a Saturday to put in my Tattslotto for the week. I have done so to the previous owner and to the current. I have seen their staff members come and go, they have been wonderful people. One of them still returns and she is a blessing.

The owners seem like any ordinary people of a small business as many of the then would work very hard to keep their business running especially being chased by corporate greedy people such as landlords and the tax office however whenever I arrive there, I have seen them greet me nicely and quite often we have a great little chat while the transaction is being processed.

Last Saturday there was a little notice on the counter which was a review that was on Google. When I asked why, they told me to read it. I could not find this more funnier so I had to input my comments.

For the many years I have seen them happy, as well as sad. Like myself their are ups and downs in life and running a small business is much harder than most people believe. I have also notice in the past couple of months the male seem to sit down while serving. I never asked him because it is not my place however he did state to me that there were issues with his knees and getting up was getting harder. As a person in my late fifties, I do have similar issues which is called arthritis and it is painful.

What actually led me to comment in this forum was the person's comments which initially started as a complaint to the shop owner being rude however this seems to escalate about his shape. Quite a personal attack it appears instead of being a genuine review of a shop.

When reviewing today, I was astounded because I believe that discrimination comes in all shapes and sizes and to me the shaming of "fat people" I believe can be compared to as shaming people for what race they are... the colour of their skin... what gender they are... what sexual orientation they are... Many of them are illegal in this civilised society however it seems okay to shame a person by what size they are.

As a male, there would be only very extreme circumstances would I ever consider telling a woman what she can do with her body however it appears that this "keyboard warrior" whom I believe is a woman is certainly telling a man what he should do with his body up and including invasive surgery. You talk about rudeness and yet your comments are the very height of rudeness itself.

I ask that person... Have you ever asked him why you feel he is rude? Maybe you will be surprised at his answer.

Back to the shop...

The people are great, they make me feel good when I leave. I enjoy going there, I am happy to part with my money s lotto draw here and that what makes me go back. They are also worth me spending the time in defending some very good people whom have been unjustly victimised.

New owners are lovely they always have a sydicate or scratchy package for when i cant be bothered thinking of a present for relos 😀

I have always found the staff and the owners very helpful and as for costumer service I give them a 10 out of 10 or as in the old days they said service with a smile which in my generation you don't see anymore. As for the bad review posted here to the person who wrote that never judge a person until you walk a mile in there shoes. To arndale lotto thanks guys

Ok Ok Ok I will do what you say to be safe with life...... The best place to buy a paper the staff are great and I will go there all the time.....
