We love this Bistro! Excellent customer service.
Great family environment with a safe playground inside and also one outside too in an enclosed courtyard.
We are regular customers and the food never disappoints, always delish and served in a very reasonable time frame. There is usually about 7 of us, and the meals always come out together. Also impressive is that the kids meal's are served first. I highly recommend this Bistro, it really is one of our favourites.

I live in the area and frequent this place a lot.
It can get very busy at main meal times but my kids absolutely love the bistro and the kids meals always come out quickly. If you are someone who just wants some quiet time with your significant other with a couple of drinks before your meal comes out it's perfect.
The meals are great with respectable pricing considering today's inflation.
The staff are friendly and accommodating and love to hear feedback.
I haven't tried The Collective over the other side but I'd love to soon.

Your kids will love it and give you a much needed quiet meal with the entertainment provided at no cost!

We have taken clients to this venue on many occasions now and the food is always consistently good, however the service is excellent! Josie will greet you with a smile and is always more than happy to assist in anyway she can with our groups of clients we bring. She is wonderful.

Great spot to stay! Room was clean and comfortable with added bonus of pub and bottle shop at our doorstep! Definitely recommend 👌🏻.

Stayed for one night only. Rooms were lovely and clean. Bed super comfy but the best part of the stay was the amazing staff that looked after us for dinner. Food was fresh, hot and delicious 😋 Thanks for a beautiful meal and for the staff who all smiled and made us feel so special! We will definitely be back 👏

Greeted by friendly, knowledgeable staff (I wanted to go for a run in the morning, and they knew the local tracks), I arrived at this perfect location.....directed to my spacious light filled room overlooking the trees and lagoon. After heading up the road for some Thai at 'Romo Thai' Mt Evelyn, I returned and wandered down to the bar, sitting in the outdoor area where I enjoyed my complimentary drink. Finally, back to a comfy bed to a quiet nights sleep.... awoke to the sound of birds, a light rain (no run!), bit of breakfast, and checked out...Thank you 'York on Lilydale', I will be back. Note though - If you want to eat at the Bistro, book early.

Had the end of year break up at the York! Staff were friendly and professional! Food was great and the atmosphere was excellent. Cannot fault this venue! Would recommend to anyone to have a private function here.

The rooms were lovely had a beautiful view of the the lake lots of wildlife,loved that, the staff were friendly, the food was delicious. Enjoyed our stay.

Stayed overnight because we were watching a comedy show. Rooms amazing! Food good. Staff amazing, Shout out to Tara on the bar at The Collective...Thanks for ending our night on a high!

Cool place, very peaceful and relaxing and clean with friendly and helpful staff will come back if I need to. Highly recommended. Love the blackberries lol

Great place. Food was good. Welcome drinks were greatly appreciated (booking direct required). The only real negative was wifi reception in the accommodation rooms was very poor. Staff were helpful. 10% discount on meals was nice too for guests staying there.

Great place to stay 👌 has everything you need and the beds are super comfy. Would have given 5 stars for the rooms but could have used a microwave 🤔

We enjoyed the food, it was reasonably priced particularly if you are over $50 and the staff were polite.

We held our Christmas party function in the Tabu function room. Function manager Bec was amazing, catering for an exact number, rather then just giving us default quotes for set numbers of people. She also made up a custom sign at the front of the venue and allowed us in to decorate. The venue was great, food amazing and bar staff (particularly Labron) also amazing. Labron made us custom shots and even got up on the dance floor with us. Couldn’t speak highly enough of him. Would recommend!

Great place to stay very clean and staff couldn’t help us enough we had a family wedding so there was 20 or more people staying restaurant was delicious no complaints from anyone!

I organised a 30th Trivia night in the Yarra Room. Everyone had an absolute blast, and that was in no small part thanks to Bec and the rest of the staff who provided good food and friendly service. Bec was so accommodating, making sure everything was just the way we wanted it, and also provided lots of helpful suggestions to make the night a success.

A relaxed atmosphere for a family birthday dinner, and an indoor/outdoor play space for kids. Plus the food was yum!

BISTRO: Cheerful greeting on entry, ample choices to choose from, great food and generous serves for a Seniors Meal. I’ve now made it my regular stop when I’m ‘out and about’ and dread the thought to then go home and prep/cook a meal. All staff are wonderful but Josie is my favourite, she’s a ‘stand out’ - not just for her coloured hair.

As for my recommendation: I highly suggest the York Parma - if you’re a fan of avocado, bacon and hollandaise sauce!

Stayed Saturday night July 29th, the upgrades since our last stay is fantastic.
The service in sports bar by sharice was outstanding and when we went to the bistro for dinner we did not have a booking but the staff were great and found us a table, the food was unbelievable so good.
